Also if I order these smaller Tantalums would 2.5V be fine instead of 6.3V? For my CECHB01?

Yes it will, all your answers are written in the guide, the ideal is to use a 2.5V, but use 6.3V "Rated" in case you can't find 2.5V Tantalum Capacitors like i did.

Per the Panasonic serie TPE size D spec:
    2.5v 330uf and 470uf are 1.8mm height (D2E size).
    6.3v 330uf is 2.8mm minimum height and 470uf is 3.8mm minimum height (D3L and D4 sizes).

Trying this myself and I'm currently removin GB the old capacitors. Having a bit of trouble and ended up scratching across some if the traces. Have I most likely ruined my board already? Any tips on what to do in the future to remove the old capacitors? Having trouble getting past this point

Seeing as I have screwed up even further, I thought I'd ask what I can do at this point! Also, I accidentally scratched off one of those black chips, fortunately I have it still, though it is missing one of the metal legs.

Well the board might be salvageable, if the scratches aren't too deep, the traces might still be active, but of the 2nd picture i see some deep ones which can be concerning, but the only way to test it out is to pair the Tantalums and fire it up.

If you scratch the PCB mask on the ground points, its nothing to worry about, as the board will operate normally, but if you scratch a trace interconnection then you have a 50/50 chance of it working.

Personally i always use a pocket knife as a base and a screw driver to give some wacks to the NECs until i can remove them with a pair of pliers, leaving the PCB unscathed, so saves me time.

You can also remove them with a hot air station although lads who wanted to remove them with a station, reported they are a pain in the arse to remove it, not to mention you can damage other heat sensitive components while heating them for removal, but its all a personal preference.

Don't have my capacitors yet. But what I was gonna try first was a heat gun and then using a business card and some fine point tweezers and see if I can pry 'up'

I was about to mention it, at top in this photo
    [IMG]

And there is another one about to fall (and get lost) at bottom-left in this photo too

At this point i dunno if could be repaired, the scratches doesnt seems to cut any line, but with all that other components around damaged is going to be a pain to imagine how they was located originally, which kind of components they was, his values, if is needed to replace some of them, etc...

Why my pocket knife methods remind me of another horror flick, i am sure @Cypher_CG89 would be the first to watch it on Netflix

Did you replaced the 2nd exposed NEC Capacitor? From the looks of it you didn't, so don't expect much.

If you would leave it intact chances are it would work, but you destroyed the casing layer, so don't expect miracles there, remove the other one.
