you can use an android app called kws. its very small. So I just saw that the ps3xploit website got attacked and I cant use it until it gets un-attacked. Plus, using the nopsn mirror just returned a bunch of "cant find blah blah blah at address(es) blah blah blah" errors and then the initialize HEN Installer returned a HEN failed, refresh and try again message
I see the offline method of doing this, but it says I need to make a webserver of my own to offline install? I just ate pretty good, and im about to go into a food coma, and I don't want to bother with that![]()

by root directory i mean whatever folder is setup to be used by the webserver. on kws this is called "home directory" in settings. i just mean put the files where the webserver expects them to be located.wait.....when you talk the root directory of a phone, we talking about THE root directory (ala jailbreaking a phone to get into the file structure forbidden to normie users), or base root directory (phone/sd card, videos music etc...)
so.....I feel entirely dumb for not noticing this, but I just woke up, and I had the thought "dude, the ps3xploit website got mirrored, all of it, including the stuff needed for the step 2 method of installing HEN, you IDJIT"
So I check out the nopsn mirror links for the support files, and I see it has a newer version than the one at the front page, will it matter any if I use the newer version than the older one?
so I did step 2 of method 2, and after selecting Latest_HEN_Installer_3.0.1_signed-486C.pkg in the package installer, I got "An error occurred during the install operation (80029564)"
wat do
I used the MEGA link in the HFW tab on the very first page of this thread to get the firmware file for HFW'ing my CECH-3001A console, did the recovery mode method of updating, then I did the method 2 of HEN installing but for the links provided, I just slapped a nopsn.com/mirror/ in the 2nd link provided, and ended up getting the zip file needed for step 2 of method 2. I did use nopsn to get the updated HAN support files for 4.86 instead of using the 4.84 support files, but the end result was the same: step 1 of method 1 was a success, step 2, not so much, hence the error code
I rebooted my console, and the * Package Manager thing is still there. So since installing HAN succeeded, does that mean I can skip the offline method of installing HAN and go to the HEN steps next?
