Ulaunch.elf mc0:/ and mc1:/

Hello everyone sorry for bother you all but I have a question. Currently there is a Picodrive emulator available for Han using ulaunch.elf, however it requires for the games to be dropped on mc0 or mc1. Unfortunately both mc0 and mc1 only have 8MB size which makes it unable to add Sega CD games...is there anyway to make mc0 or mc1 have more than 8MB in ulauch.elf?

Not in uLE, You need create larger VMC on PC, then inject it to PS3. It will not be properly recognized but as I remember it works (apps/games properly handle them).

I don't know. Maybe it is sufficient to make i.e 256MiB of all zeroes, name it as VMC which recognize PCSX2, then run OSDSYS and format it just like on real PS2. Then You will get proper formatted huge card with ECC (PS2 emulators on PS3 doesn't understand VMCs without ECC).

However, the larger the card is, the slower it is. If there is hardcoded speed limit in emu You will not reach even 1/4 of SegaCD disc speed which means lags/freezes/glitches/whatever. ;) Good luck.

Hmmm if it is going to give me that lag time then it is no use...the problem is that Picodrive only loads games from mc0:/ mc1:/ hdd0:/ and mass:/ and i can't seem to be able to put games in mass:/ or hdd0:/ ...if i could that would be a really good solution

But I don't know that, just guessing. So it is worth a try, didn't?

I also don't know what emulator You are using and which kind of media each of them support but there is official package to be downloaded from PSS with some HDD related stuff to official emulation. I don't know what is inside and for what purpose but maybe it is another trail to bypass limitations.

Did I ever make a new build of PicoDrive after 2014? Maybe that's why USB device support doesn't work on the PS3 emulator.
Does it work, when a new version of LaunchELF is used? If so, please try using this ELF instead.

I am using the version present in EMULATORS FOR HAN

Ps2_netemu support only 8MB cards. Also please don't try anything bigger than 32MB because XMB read available space value as uint16, and 64 MB is 1 (yeah one) byte too much for it, 65535 while card is 65536. So using 64Mb card image result in nice softbrick.

And finally, Afaik ps2_netemu use whitelist for usb devices, so there is no chance to support them. Also there is no FAT32 support in emu, only FAT16, and UFS.

Best (and only) what any dev can do for you is to add cdfs support.

Yeah I think adding cdfs support will be the solution...thank you very much!!!

I tried the .elf you provided and it does not seem to work. From my knowledge for this emulator to work we would need cdfs:/ compatibility to be added...is there any possibility of it being added by any chance? If so can you add it to the version in the link down below? (It is the one that works in PS3XPLOIT)
