PS3 Updated Homebrew Apps For Upcoming Rebug CFW REX & D-REX 4.70

Developer Joonie dropped by with some exciting news. The much anticipated Rebug 4.70 custom firmwares are nearing release, that being REX and D-REX. Joonie decided it was time to release a few homebrews that have been updated for them. In this release you get a updated IRISMAN, yes IRISMAN!! And with it a updated payload of firmware 4.70, MAMBA support and updated controller payload. Other homebrew apps [break].[/break]included are PRX Loader 1.10 and EID Root Key Dumper 1.00. So be sure to read up and keep an eye right here for when the custom firmwares gets released.

IRISMAN 3.46:
  • Updated Payload for 4.70 CEX
  • 4.70 DEX support including MAMBA
  • Fixed fan controller payload,
    • [however, it still has old audio glitching bug when using payload mode since the official IRIS, I personally recommend webMAN instead]
  • Korean language support
  • Fixed auto button swap, all previous IRISMAN used to execute read_settings() before read_from_registry();, which explains why it was not working properly without changing ini file, now it properly detects region setting from registry, and apply that "buttonAssign" setting to IRIS without changing setting.ini, this should make all Asian users happier Thanks again @aldostools for tips
PRX Loader 1.10:
  • 4.70 DEX supported
EID Root Key Dumper 1.00 (for 4.70 dex):
  • 4.70 DEX supported, this was intended for upcoming REBUG REX 4.70
  • Future TOOLBOX version 2.02.04 will support dumping eid root key on both side of kernels, [4.70 CEX / 4.70 DEX]

You would be surprised at just how many people are pissed there wasn't a plain REX on 4.65. But I assure you there is for sure a 4.70 Rebug REX Cobra. The non-Cobra is the one I am not sure of ATM.

that doesn't surprise me really. with the ps3 scene - I've never seen a group of people more resistant to learning something new. many devs make things effortless yet people still manage to mess things up. it could be worse though. it could be the 360 scene. u don't have a Habib/Rogero/Rebug or anything. u have to build the fw urself with ur cpu key. and, as far as a coldboot equivalent goes, u have to time the timing of ur own gpu to do so. I think such things would freak out some ps3 sceners. I'm personally going all Nintendo with my Majora's Mask new 3ds and my Wind Waker wii-u. though, I have a ps vita (loving Tales of Hearts!), but considering there's talk of a glitch chip for the ps4 when people can't even manage simplicity, I say good luck to ps3 sceners trying to move on to the ps4 as there's no install pup file crap involved. I may pop my head out once in a while, but I really don't care about anyone's issues anymore.

I know what you are talking about I also have a modified RGH Xbox 360... PS3 Scene is more active than the xbox 360 Scene...
Ps3 CFWs are better you have a choice! the agony of choice...
But What i have never understand why there are still people who want a NEW Standard CEX Rogero CFW (Rogero did many good things for the PS3 scene thats right) and he has builded Good stable CFWs everybody should knows meanwhile he is retired from PS3 Scene
but there are more than enought alternative CFWs... with same or more features and stability

is it only the name? habit?

The Devs from Cobra Team (USB/ODE) have done something great as they released the source Code from Cobra USB

now everybody can profit from it with CFW with more features!
yes the first CFWs with Cobra wasnt without bugs but now its a great extension and cleaner/better with every update (nearly perfect)
with features you wont have without Cobra, its only an addition not replacement so...
you dont have to worry about anything
as a dev (@DEX) maybe yes idk but not as a PS3 CFW User...

Im happy Rebug is building PS3 CFWs again and I also happy they integrate Cobra in their CFWs best choice ever!
My first Rebug was the leaked 4.53 Rebug REX Cobra (modified by Joonie) I even downgraded from 4.55--3.55--4.53 just to try it (yes here were some bugs) but it still had most functions at this time... so I could not resist to install it after it was confirmed to working well
