PS3 WebAnd - Android Interface for webMAN MOD

The original version of webMAN (deank's vanilla version) is able to use the android interface droidman for various remote function that the plugin is capable performing. However droidman never did fully support webMAN MOD but thanks to the release by Mr Smithy x who has released an Android app (apk) called "WebAnd" supports webMAN MOD. Which allows for many remote features that webMAN MOD plugin is capable of running. Such as remote mounting and un-mounting of games, Remote file explorer, Temperature Settings and Reading available of your internal RSX and CPU readings and v fan controls straight from your android device.. The webMAN plugin contains various other remote functions that this interface is capable of handling..​

WebAnd is a android tool I created for the purpose of managing your ps3 on your mobile device. This tool is intended to work with and only with WebMan, so make sure you have WebMan Enabled and that you are on the same network as your PS3. This android app will also automatically look for your PS3 and connect to it !

Yeah but when I put the files in my archives the only way I can differentiate between them is by checksum. But it's ok

 

hey I know this is kinda old stuff...but how do you ftp with this app. I know the + sign changes "sides" from android to your ps but how do you select the file from the android side and get it into the ps?

This does not work anymore.
You would need to use an old webMAN-MOD version to begin with if you wanted to use it.

I use Android all the time to transfer files with ftp. WebMAN-MOD has ftp included so all you need is to connect your Android device to the LAN with WiFi then use a ftp client.
Personally I use X-plore File Manager which is a 2pane file browser very practical for transferring files. You can get it from the Playstore for free.
With it you can create connections in the LAN section to you PC, a NAS if you have one, any network storage device & in the FTP section to the PS3.
All you need is the IP address of the console.
Then you can browse & transfer files from/to any connected devices.

 

holy crap I've been using andFTP this whole time but I have X-plore ..its my fave, the dual pane thing is great. I NEVER noticed the FTP section!!! I already set it up . it would have been nice if webAND could do it but oh well. it does other stuff, but its more of a novelty kinda. its all good tho.
