hi i cannot save modification about webman setting

i have the latest version 1.47.48m

Please provide screen captures of the issue. After the changes are made in /setup.ps3 you need to press the SAVE button.

You should see a message that says the following:

Settings updated.
Click here to restart your PLAYSTATION®3 system.

Although it's recommended to reboot, many settings take effect immediately without having to restart the system.

I have a doubt in the webman configuration. I would like to know what the % in-gameEmulator PS2 make. Which box I should activate to make my PS3 55% to be used in PS2 games. Webman had an update and I'm confused. Thanks

The text "% in-gameEmulator PS2" is not correct.

You have 2 separated sections: "Manual 55% Velocidade do Cooler + 0% in-game".
And "Emulador de PS2: 55% Velocidade do Cooler"

Due the translation to PT the text is shown longer than usual and the words "in-game" and "Emulator" look joined.

"Manual 55% Velocidade do Cooler + 0% in-game".
Means that the fan speed will be constant at 55% for XMB and in-game.
If you change 0% to 5%. The fan speed will be 55% for XMB and 60% for in-game (55% + 5%).

"Emulador de PS2: 55% Velocidade do Cooler"
Means that the fan speed will be changed to a constant 55% when you mount a PS2 game (ISO or BIN.ENC) through webMAN MOD.
This does not apply for PS2 Classics packages launched directly from XMB.

webMAN MOD 1.47.48n is out!

Changes:
  • Restore default PKGLAUNCH icon when a new ROM without icon is mounted
  • Remote /ROMS now mount only the last folder in the path.
    e.g. /ROMS/MAME/ARCADE/GAME.ZIP mounts /ROMS/MAME/ARCADE as /dev_bdvd

/ROMS_1...4 mounts the first subbfolder as /dev_bdvd keeping the other subfolders
    e.g. /ROMS_1/MAME/ARCADE/GAME.ZIP mounts /ROMS/MAME as /dev_bdvd/ARCADE/GAME.ZIP

This change improves the mounting time of remote ROMS and improves the compatibility.

ill be honest, i only saw this homebrew app as something strictly for FTP, but it can also enable playing of PSP (ISO) titles? that sounds highly enticing, but level with me. Besides "installing" the webman mod installer, do i need anything else other than the "PSP Remasters"/"PSP Minis" Launcher(s), and prepISO? or at least what the Quick tutorial wiki entry on github shows? my PS3 is a CECHG01 (Fat) model i bought off ebay initially for redumping certain games i bought many years back

I don't know if you need all that. it's been too long since I played psp games on a cfw ps3, but do note that compatibility is very bad (probably less than 50%). also, if you're looking for ftp, try this: https://github.com/jjolano/openps3ftp the code for wmm's ftp is based on that afaik. it's a plugin that just does ftp, so you wouldn't need wmm. I used to use it and wmm (disabled wmm's ftp function), since it (the plugin) seemed to connect instantly. just add it to your plugins' txt file (forgot the name). I'd suggest putting it in a folder on dev_hdd0 called plugins or something for it to be easy to remember.

...........eh, fair. Mind answering me one last question?

can i use the PS3 to "decrypt" PSP/PSVITA games i own (after downloading them onto said ps3 console), into an export-able format for pc emulator usage, or is that just not possible without using their respective console hardware with whatever HEN/CFW there is to export them that way?

I don't know about psp games, but ps vita games use a zrif to decrypt the package iirc. I think you need to use the instructions on nonpdrm to decrypt them correctly. the key is the work.bin, because without it, the game won't appear on the vita screen. it's associated with the rif afaik, but I haven't messed with this stuff in years, so I could be misremembering specifics.

Why I don't see "in game GPU Core:" option in webman?

GPU core & memory clock frequency are obtained from LV1 memory. If you're using HEN without BadHTAB or BadWDSD, webMAN will be unable to show the frequency values because LV1 peek/poke are unavailable on PS3HEN. Therefore I opted to hide the labels, instead of show incorrect values.
