webMAN MOD

PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

Hi everyone!

I have the same issue on two fat ps3(CECHH04, CECHG04), both are running EvilNat 4.89 cfw.
Here is what happens:
Console starts up alright and works flawlessly.
But after activating fps counter everything shows as it should except cpu/gpu clocks are missing. After ~17 seconds YLOD, power led red flashing and beeping.
Powering the console up again, hdd checking and after that the xmb starts up.
And here is the difference, after activating the fps counter (L3+R3) everything happens as before except after 17 seconds the cpu/gpu clocks appear too. No crash.
After shutting down the console and powering up again everything happens again.
It's like the cpu/gpu clock speed readout crashes the console.
I tried configuring the plugin to only show fps/cpu/gpu temperature/fan speed, but crashed again. It works only after a YLOD/hdd check. I checked the hdd its flawles.
Reinstalled cfw, no luck.

Thank you for your feedback. This issue looks like an issue with VshFpsCounter.
I suggest try these options until @TheRouLetteBoi finds the cause of this bug.
You can submit your issue at https://github.com/TheRouletteBoi/RouLetteVshMenu/issues

1. Try disabling CPU/GPU clocks.
Go to http://0/edit.ps3/dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_res/VshFpsCounter.yaml

Change
showClockSpeeds: On
to
showClockSpeeds: Off

Save. Then load the plugin with L3+R3

2. Or try using the old version 2.2 instead of 2.6.2

Delete /dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_res/VshFpsCounter.sprx

Then rename /dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_res/VshFpsCounterM.sprx to /dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_res/VshFpsCounter.sprx to

Then load the plugin with L3+R3

Other versions can be found at:
https://github.com/theRouletteBoi/RouLetteVshMenu/releases

Could someone make a version from the fps counter plugin in wich the cpu/gpu clock speed detection is disabled.
Not just hide the values, disabling the code for it.
I would really like to use the plugin, but after 10+ YLOD on two consoles I gave up on it.
I have two other consoles (cech-2004, cech-4004) I didn't test it on them because of this.

It's fpscounter that's for sure, both consoles work flawlesly until I start the counter.
I already tried disabling everything in the config file except fps, cpu/gpu temp, fan speed.
It didn't help.

I will try the older version, maybe it helps.

Hello @aldostools

In English via G-Trad :

I have a problem with ARTEMIS integrated into the webMAN-mod (1.47.41).
I switch the wMM to "lite" mode via the L1+R1+Triangle key combo. There it is OK (with my PS3 under the Rebug-4.84.2-REX (Cobra v8.3)), I launch ARTEMIS, I configure it for the game "Ratchet & Clank 1", I hear that ARTEMIS activated (a small beep), I am leaving ARTEMIS. I launch the game through webMAN and I never see the top right popup saying it is waiting for it to attach or that it is active. If I stay under the "Full" webMAN, then everything is correct even if ARTEMIS does not have enough space to function correctly, it launches and asks me to activate it (it's all good with "Gran Turismo 6" v1.22 and wMM "Full").

Did I do something wrong ???

Artemis patching engine is only available on the full version.

Hi!

Version 2.2 works fine. Sometimes freezes when exiting a game, but its a known bug.
Only thing I miss is the option to configure the plugin.

Will it be possible in the near future that all the same ARTEMIS can work under the wMM in "lite" mode ???
Thanks in advance.

Thank you again for your report. I suggest that open an issue in @TheRouLetteBoi repository and provide all the feedback that could help him to fix this bug in his plugin.

Is there a specific reason why you need to run Artemis with "Lite" edition? e.g. some game freeze using full edition?

It is feasible to add artemis to "Lite" edition. However, I avoid to add more features to that edition, unless it's strictly necessary and there is a good justification. I want to keep that version as "Lite" as possible.

In fact, I have great difficulty launching "Cheats code" with certain games under the "Full" version of wMM (1.47.41).
It would seem according to @haxxxen that the fault lies with wMM "Full" which takes up too much space in memory. I wanted to do the tests with its "artsMIS_NTFS.sprx" version and it cannot work under Rebug-4.84.2-REX/Cobra-8.3, the console crashes very quickly. I informed him.
If you can make me a test version for the "lite" wMM, I will test it with my console in CFW CEX.
Thank you very much my friend, and see you very soon.

Test if this plugin works (I didn't had chance to test it. I'm at work). I basically enabled the compilation flag ARTEMIS_PRX

You are wonderful my friend (@aldostools), I am doing these tests for you immediately.

Tests done, ARTEMIS starts, I have all the indications when it is started, that it is waiting for me to validate the attachment to a game, etc... So, in summary, this "Lite" version is perfect with my CFW Rebug-4.84.2/Cobra-8.3. You can integrate it into your next broadcasts, subject to further testing on other CFW configurations.

Does this morning's update (on 4/6/2022 at 6:10 a.m.) have the possibility of always launching ARTEMIS, even in "Lite" mode of wMM.
Thanks in advance for this information.

Yes. The only requirement to auto-start Artemis is to have Artemis checked in /setup.ps3 and that the patch file /dev_hdd0/tmp/art.txt exists.

The file art.txt is always deleted when you return to XMB or when the plugin starts.

if you copy the .ncl file in /PS3ISO with the same file name of the game or if you copy the .ncl as /dev_hdd0/tmp/artemis/<titleid>.ncl the file art.txt is auto-copied when the game is started.

@aldostools i just picked up a CECHG01 40gb fatty and under both 4.88hfw and evilnat4.88.2cfw i get an error trying to install wmm latest as well as .31 versions.

The error: there is not enough free space on The system storage.

There is still 800mb of hdd space and lots on the usb stick. All other pkgs installed while on hen without issue. Just wmm so far. I didn't find any other topics regarding this issue. Any ideas?

Thanks
