webMAN MOD

PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

That combo already exists

Sorry, i did't find it .. can you post it here ?

Also i have a suggestion . When you login into the PSN account then enable HEN , the account remains logged , leaving the user unprotected to detection / ban . Can you make the account log out when the user enables HEN and Webman ? As an observation , when you log out of the user it also logs out the account , that's one way to do it .

Hello I want to try to set up my PS3 for occasionally playing music through the XMB while playing games through Webman and I see there is a web command that can toggle the function, /sysbgm.ps3
I can send the command just fine through my computer but I'm unsure what I'm doing wrong on the Webman setup to try to map it to the custom R2+Square combo. Right now I have the command entered as GET /sysbgm.ps3 but when I press the two buttons I don't see a notification like I do when I send it from the computer. How exactly am I supposed to enter this for the command to run correctly? Thank you!

I'm not sure if I can find time for this in this year. I have many unfinished stuff related to PS2 which hunted me (XEB+ and his plugins/themes gfx). How many platforms this should covering (NES, SNES, SMS, SMD, TG16, something more?)?

BTW: Thanks, I'm flattered. ^^"

There are 99 paths for more than 60 emulators. Some folders could use the same icon, others could use a generic icon.
"2048", "CAP32", "MAME", "MAME2000", "MAME2003", "MIDWAY", "MAMEPLUS", "FBA", "FBA2012", "FBNEO", "ATARI", "ATARI2600", "STELLA", "ATARI800", "ATARI5200", "ATARI7800", "JAGUAR", "LYNX", "HANDY", "HATARI", "CANNONBALL", "NXENGINE", "COLECO", "AMIGA", "CD32", "VICE", "X64", "X64SC", "X64DTV", "XSCPU64", "X128", "XCBM2", "XCMB25X0", "XPET", "XPLUS4", "XVIC", "DOSBOX", "GME", "GW", "DOOM", "QUAKE", "JAVAME", "JUMP", "O2EM", "INTV", "MSX", "FMSX", "MSX2", "BMSX", "NEOCD", "NEO", "NEOGEO", "PCE", "PCECD", "PCFX", "SGX", "NGP", "NGPC", "NES", "FCEUMM", "NESTOPIA", "QNES", "GB", "GBC", "GAMBATTE", "TGBDUAL", "GBA", "VBA", "MGBA", "VBOY", "PALM", "PSXISO", "PS2ISO", "PS3ISO", "PSPISO", "POKEMINI", "SCUMMVM", "GENESIS", "GEN", "SEGACD", "MEGAD", "MEGADRIVE", "GG", "GEARBOY", "MASTER", "PICO", "SG1000", "FUSE", "ZX81", "SNES", "MSNES", "SNES9X", "SNES9X2005", "SNES9X2010", "SNES9X_NEXT", "THEODORE", "VECX", "WSWAM", "WSWAMC"

The main reason why the icons were not added before is the large amount of icons that it requires to handle all these folders.

Hi.
Thank you very much for this very good software and supporting it for years

I had a question, how should I change the Overlay FPS settings?
And is there a way to see console screen using remote app like vnc or rdp port?

@aldostools can use the option "mount /nethost to dev_bdvd locals" to mount the system folder "PS2ISO" to "/nethost/PS2ISO" and load the ps2iso with nas like internal hdd?? ((if not, you think this is possible?)) Thank you boss!!

No. PS2 games must be copied first to HDD to run. It is not possible to stream network content while PS2 emulator is running

When the PS2 emulator is launched VSH / lv2 kernel unloaded and replaced by the emulator. Therefore any VSH plugin running in background is unloaded when the emulator starts.

ps3netsrv works this way:
BD driver <=> lv2 kernel <=> Cobra payload <=> netiso plugin <=> TCP/IP <=> ps3netsrv <=> OS (linux/windows) <=> ISO image

ps2 emulator works this way:
BD driver <=> ps2 kernel <=> Cobra payload <=> ISO image (dev_hdd0 only) or encrypted ISO (dev_hdd0 only)

ps3 games work this way:
BD driver <=> lv2 kernel <=> Cobra payload <=> ISO image (FAT32 / internal HDD) or Phisical Disc

BD driver <=> lv2 kernel <=> Cobra payload <=> rawseciso plugin <=> cached sectors <=> Raw sectors (NTFS/exFAT) / ISO image

for this reason, the only way to load the ps2 games from ps3netsrv is copy every game previously to launch them from the hdd??? is the only way?? Thanks again @aldostools !!

Yes. The ps2 emulator is limited to read only from the internal HDD. That's why the ISO is copied to HDD before start it.

can we play all games in ISO format without any incompatibility?

i want to convert all my dumped games to iso. because some game have too many files and copy proccess from usb too slow but iso copy speed is stable.

ISO should have better compatibility and performance than games in folder format. Also Iso can be played from exFAT or NTFS.

If the game has hundreds or thousands of files, it's a great candidate to be converted to ISO.

If the game has a few large files, you won't notice a big difference in performance. I prefer to keep these games in folder format to save the conversion time.

I have one idea, if you make a folder with 3images or music or other.... and share with net1 on ps3netserver if you mount this like bdvd you can see the files on xmb..... my question is.... if you extract the ps2 iso game to folder (like jb on ps3) and you send this folder to net1 and mount this folder (iso content extract) like bdvd you think can be loaded with emulator?? ((I prove this later, now I cant)) Thanks again aldostools

When you mount a remote folder a dev_bdvd/, all the communication between PS3 and ps3netsrv is handled by the plugin netiso.
If you mount a folder containing the ps2iso, the mounted disc also uses dev_bdvd. Therefore it is impossible to read the remote ISO to emulate the DVD, because the remote folder would be replaced by the mounted ISO.

The other issue is that all VSH plugins, including netiso, are unloaded when the ps2 emulator is loaded in memory.

Hi,

I'm having problems installing pkgs via ps3netsrv
I'm able to mount games, I'm able to see the contents of net0 (and net0/PKG) in the browser, but when I try to mount net0 (or net0/PKG) I get "Error" in the upper right corner and the browser says:

404 Path not found

dev_bdvd

When I mount a game and navigate to http://0/dev_bdvd shows the contents just fine
What could be the cause for this?

First it depends what ps3netsrv server you're using. There are some forks that only supports ISO. The fork on my GitHub supports iso and viso.

When you mount a folder, ps3netsrv generates a virtual iso in memory with the content of the folder. If the amount and total size of files exceeds the total size supported by a blu-ray or if the ps3netsrv fails building the viso, the folder will not be mounted.

Yo guys! What's up!?

Can anyone please help me? It's just a little doubt about games in "folder format", someone here in the forum told me that in case of games who takes a big space on HDD, like GTA V, who's basically "install two times" (one in folder game and another the normal installation) we can delete some files on the "GAMES" folder to save some space on HDD after the real installation of the game and I need to know which files are. I swear, I've search really hard to find my old post but don't find anywhere and I almost certainly that it was @aldostools who told me that.

I'll really thanks if you can say to me again, or anyone who knows the info.

Try using this web command
/stat.ps3/dev_hdd0/GAMES/<name>&id=<title_id> - Compare files in /dev_hdd0/game and symlink the common files
