webMAN MOD

PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

You can try entering an url instead of the path for the autoboot.iso... I haven't tested it recently, but it used to work when I implemented it months ago.

aldos , I have an idea , could you integrate CCAPI in webman and make it possible to enable/disable on the fly ? CCAPI is known to lag games sometimes and even increase the risk of freeze , but if it would be intergrated in webman and had a pad shortcut like Disable syscalls would be great , this way we can enable CCAPI on the fly only when needed then disable it without getting lagged or freeze .

By the way , at PAD-Shortcuts next to DEL CFW SYSCALLS it's CCAPI with a checkbox , what that means ?

first of all I'd like to say a big thank you to aldostools, you're a great dev and I use many of the tools from your site, and also thanks to all the other devs on the site and those who take time to help.

I'm having an issue with my Ps3 atm and a kind soul in a different thread suggested "deleting webman and all it's related config files before reinstalling firmware", and since I'm using REBUG firmwares I have no idea where the sprx or the config files are located, any help would be much appreciated.

The reason I'm trying to do this is explained in this post : http://www.psx-place.com/forum/psnp...l-support-thread-125-post38798.html#post38798 , I'm almost sure it's not wwebman related but I'm running short on what to do and trying to go through all suggestions.

Do you have details about how CCAPI is enabled/disabled?

If that checkbox is checked, the syscalls for CCAPI will be disabled too when the syscalls are disabled. If it is not checked, the CCAPI syscalls will stay enabled (which is not recommended for online play).

No idea , I'm not coder , but I guess is some prx since is loaded at startup . :-/

What you mean ? I don't need CCAPI to change cids while playing , I need it to connect RTM tools while playing . :)

I cannot implement the requested feature without details of how to enable/disable it.

PS3MAPI is equivalent to CCAPI, except that it is open source and has extra features. Just use the PS3Lib DLL provided by NzV to connect to PS3MAPI, CCAPI or TMAPI.

No you don't need CCAPI, you can use PS3MAPI just like [MENTION=89]aldostools[/MENTION] told you to.

1. Thx for update.
2. What do wM if game's name include [PS2] tag/rule?

The [PS2] tag is an experimental feature based on a concept by the dev WuEpE. The feature isn't available in the builds included in the updater. It requires to compile the binary with the flag: PS2_DISC

When a game that has the [PS2] tag is mounted, the PS2 games stored in /PS2DISC as extracted folders will be listed on the web interface and let you mount a 2nd disc as /dev_ps2disc

This feature may work, but I haven't dedicated time to test it due:
- I don't use SingStar games
- I haven't received enough feedback about it (maybe there is not interest in such feature).
- multiMAN already supports that feature.

It was implemented in 1.41.08 in 01-14-2015:
http://www.psx-place.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-1055.html

This is a *test build* for .08 (still says .07):
404 Not Found

The new feature is: support to mount "extracted ps2 discs" as /dev_ps2disc (The concept is based on WuEpE (PS3 - webMAN v1.41.02 MOD Edición WuEpE idea, but implemented in a different way and different source code).

* Some background info:
SingStar is a cross platform game that allows to play PS2 content (songs) on the PS3 version of the game.
multiMAN supports this feature mounting of the related PS2 game as /dev_ps2disc.

* How to setup the files:
The PS2 game should be copied as files (not as ISO) inside the game's folder with "[PS2" as tag label in the folder name of the ps2 disc's folder.
Example: /dev_hdd0/GAMES/SingStar /[PS2] SingStar 80s

If the game is an ISO, the "[PS2] disc folders" should be copied into /dev_hdd0/PS2DISC

* How to mount the game:
Select the SingStar game through the HTML interface of webMAN.
Once the game is mounted, a list of the related [PS2] discs will be listed under "Game loaded successfully."

Start the game through the Bluray disc icon. To swap the disc a PS2 disc, mount one of the [PS2] discs listed on the browser.
The PS3 disc will be unmounted and the selected [PS2] disc will be mounted as /dev_ps2disc.

I don't have this game to test this feature. Maybe it is not working as expected. The description of the swap method used in the webMAN MOD² build made WuEpE requires 2 physical discs (1 ps3 and another ps2 for detection). Maybe the discs are still required.

This include 2 new web commands: /mount.ps2 and /mount.ps2/unmount

Unlinke WuEpE's method, the unmount button (/mount.ps3/unmount) will unmount all disc types (ps2/ps3/psp/iso/ntfs/etc.). So the command /mount.ps2/unmount is only needed if you want to unmount only /dev_ps2disc

If the test is successful, a workaround could be implemented for mounting the [PS2] disc via XMB.

Hi all

Im tired of searching without avail about the buttons to be pressed within the updater of webman-mod

All i need to know, is what buttons and their respective action when installing the updater.

Thanks in advance

Btw, could you update the readme in GitHub for further reference?

Need help !!
When mounting games from webman&disable syscalls from PSNPatch and log in to PSN it just giving me PSN logging error. But when mounting games from mM everything wörks fine.I was using webMan for past 2years never got such issue.

sorry if this has been asked before but when using webman mod FTP server I get horribly slow speeds at around 4 mb/s on to the external drive (internal drive is fine at 20mb/s)- however when using the multiman ftp i get around 18 mb/s on the external drive.... very strange
I am on wired lan gigabit ports - iperf to my other machines are 900~ mbits/sec so no connection issues ps3 is configured for 1gbe too.

I would prefer to use webman since I can always access it unlike mm where I have to start it ..etc

btw
would it be possible to setup external gamedata through a netserver share, since gigabit lan is faster then usb 2.0 (atleast in theory), I doubt it's possible but it would be a neat idea :)

Hi,

I have got some problems with the in-game recording.
I am on 4.78.2 REX Cobra, and installed this update webMAN_MOD_1.43.26_Updater(I haven't installed any other version of Webman besides this update and the included one inside Rebug), everything is enabled in Rebug Cobra/Webman.
What happens when I press SELECT+R3 is that a small pop up windows shows up in the right top corner saying Recording started, but this only works rarely, I have tried the same game 10 times where only 2 of the times it shows up. However it never saves the videos to any output, despite the pop up window showing up.
I can see a folder under /hdd_0/VIDEO, but nothing inside,

any help would be greatly appreciated,

Mario

Sometimes u have to hold the combo for a few seconds

Try http://<ip-of-your-ps3>/cpursx.ps3 then press [REC]
or start recording directly using http://<ip-of-your-ps3>/videorec.ps3

Oh and here is a post from aldostools in another thread

if you're using the LITE edition, you won't have the video recording feature... because the LITE edition only includes the basic features to save a few KB of memory.

Thanks for the reply :).
I have tried holding the buttons for 10 seconds, I am not sure if I am using the Lite version as the PS3 states that the VSN mode is enabled or something, in the top right corner on reboot, as far as I have read there should be 3 version, VSN, FULL, and LITE. Sometimes the game and the entire console just freeze, then I need to force it to shutdown, this happens after I press the REC buttons and after the Recording Now menu shows up. Just tried this as well http://<ip-of-your-ps3>/videorec.ps3, game and console freeze.
There is also an option in the webman setup to check the checkbox for "VIDEO REC (in-game) " , I already checked this.
How do I install the full version, as it comes with so many files and folders and no PKG file, this is the one I've found scroll down to download zip:
