PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

I think I just discovered a new issue, I've been playing Driver II on my Vita/PS3 and today upon loading the ISO with wMM, quiting the game and remounting a different PSXISO the console freezes and becomes unresponsive with neither shortcuts nor web-server. I'm running 1.45.10 and Habib's 4.81 v1.01 on a CECH-2501A. Can anyone try to reproduce the issue? Not sure what could be causing it, I'm loading the ISOs through the network by the way using aldo's latest ps3netsrv. I have also tryed varying between both ps1_self and ps1_netemu and still got the same freeze.

Psx on NTFS always has done that since the day one of webman official..

Really? I'd never seen any mentions of this, it's not really a massive issue, just a slight annoyance if you want to load a different PSXISO without rebooting. If it's like this since day one, ah well... wMM is great regardless.

mmCM doesn't have this bug though, on both netsrv and NTFS. @deank said webMAN's vsh_process could be culprit but he hasn't looked this up yet

As Joonie correctly pointed out to me, with wMM there is workaround put in place by aldostools, if rawseciso.sprx is found at one of these locations:
Code:
"/dev_flash/vsh/module/raw_iso.sprx"
 "/dev_hdd0/raw_iso.sprx"
"/dev_hdd0/plugins/raw_iso.sprx"
"/dev_hdd0/game/IRISMAN00/sprx_iso"
Then this rawseciso plugin will be used instead to mount the game & the issue should not occur anymore in theory...

Check the potential locations to see if you have this file, if not either install Irisman 4.81 or extract the sprx_iso file from the pkg & copy it to /dev_hdd0/plugins using the correct name.

Just tested your tip, didn't work. I already had Irisman 4.81 installed and the sprx_iso in place since before I noticed the issue. I extracted the raw_iso.sprx from the 1.45.10 update pkg and placed in all the upper mentioned folders, no change. But whatever, it's nothing to fret about, I'll just use mmCM to load multiple PSXISOs next time.

It's not my tip. It's @aldostools workaround to fix the issue.
It's supposed to work on all wMM editions except the Lite edition.
The search for the plugin is done in this order
1. /dev_flash/vsh/module/raw_iso.sprx
2. /dev_hdd0/raw_iso.sprx
3. /dev_hdd0/plugins/raw_iso.sprx
4. /dev_hdd0/game/IRISMAN00/sprx_iso
The first plugin file found will be used.

Remember to restart the ps3 after copying files when you test the feature.

I've tested all 4 folders, restarted the console everytime, no change. So the workaround at least on 1.45.10 is not working.

EDIT: It just ocurred to me, isn't this workaround supposed to work only for local NTFS? I'm loading my games through the network, maybe that's why it isn't working.

That's correct. It's only for games on local ntfs. The ps3netsrv games are still using netiso.sprx so they suffer from the issue and there is currently no workaround for it.

Afaik deank thought it might be due to vsh as it only happens with sprx plugins (webman or wMM) not self files (multiman).
In the future, this problem might get fixed or worked around but for now, you should use multiman for this kind of situations.

Hey Guys, having some issues updating webMAN MOD. Currently on 1.45.04 and unsure how I can update? Installed the 1.45.10 updater pkg but no luck, webMAN setup still tells me its 1.45.04. Tried the 1.45.05 updater.pkg but but still stayed as 1.45.04. I am on Rebug CEX 4.81. What am I doing wrong?

SAME POSTER AS ABOVE

So, I updated my Rebug Version to REBUG 4.81.2, which also updated webMAN MOD to 1.45.09. However my problem still persists and when I try to run the "webMAN_MOD_1.45.10_Updater.pkg" it says that "The same version is already installed". Even if I proceed with the installation, I am still on version 1.45.09.

Is there a different way to update such as installing "UP0001-PKGLAUNCH_00-0000000000000000.pkg" or disabling webMAN mod (not sure how to anyway), before trying to run the updater.pkg

Would really appreciate any sort of help or clarification thank you :)

Not sure what is going on here...
Are you actually launching the updater after installation? Installing the pkg is not enough, the updater app in XMB must be run, using the appropriate gamepad buttons to choose the edition to install. If you don't know this, I suggest you start by reading the OP of the webMAN-MOD General Information thread.
After running the app, the console should reboot & the new wMM will start...

If ever you still have issues launching the updater app, why don't you copy the webftp_server.sprx file manually via ftp? Are you using Rebug or another cfw?

Because you disabled syscalls before mounting the game. You should never disable syscalls unless you want to connect to PSN.
Are you using psnpatch? Have you setup wMM to disable syscalls?

I dont use psnpatch ,i use webman setup and check where it says dissable syscalls and delete history thing .it use to work fine when i had 1.45.9 version of webman after upgrade i get this issue.then i try goin back to that version and the error appear.

Bad practice. Who told you to do this? Noobs?
Such crazy advice is widespread on the Internet & it's completely ridiculous.
Why would you ever disable syscalls on boot on your CFW? Don't tell me everything used to work fine before because it's impossible, if you disable syscalls, you disable the CFW features & Cobra.
You cannot mount games or anything with syscalls disabled, backup managers will all give you errors.
It makes no sense whatsoever to do this.
Syscalls should only be disabled just before connecting to PSN & the best way to do this is psnpatch. WebMAN-MOD offers the feature but you should not use it but rely on psnpatch to do the job.
