(WIP - Contributions Welcomed] - PS3 starter Guide (2019 Edition for HEN User's)

I found a bug in 1.47.19 related to the peek/poke implementation for PS3HEN. Please test if this build now works properly and report back if possible. Thanks.

fan control works, but still panics on app launch.

Everything works fine except for webMAN. WebMAN restarts the PS3 when I try to run it and it leaves an empty "webMAN MOD" folder that can't be removed. I've tried the newest hanfix version as well, no beans.

its included in 1.0.2 zip, in OP (boot_plugins_nocobra.txt)

its just a text file that points to /dev_hdd0/plugins/webftp_server.sprx

can be used to load other plugins
I must have made a mistake in the process (my guess being uninstalling the "game" itself instead of uninstalling in the folder menu) because now I get a message when I restart as if webMan is still installed, but now whenever I try to start any homebrew, the console clicks and and immediately turns off. Is there a way to clean manual uninstall everything so I can try installing again?

why sometimes when i exit a game to xmb ,while using HEN, it blackscreens and sends me to recovery mode saying that system is corrupted?? it scares me a lot

i did it deleting the app, deleting 'boot_plugin.txt' from /dev_hdd0 root, deleting a .sprx file inside 'plugins' folder, deleting 'xmlhost' folder and deleting 1 or 2 folders related to webman inside /dev_hdd0/game and reboot. you will see that webman folder is not there anymore and you will be able to install it again.

edit: for deleting i used han toolbox file explorer, pressing triangle above the file or folder and you will see 2 options unlink deletes a single FILE, unlink folder deletes a whole FOLDER. dont enable HEN before deleting because it will enable webman

For a clean install, you could have just installed 4.84 OFW -> 4.84 HFW -> install HAN and HEN.

For a clean install:
1 - Install 4.84 OFW.
2 - Install 4.84 HFW.
3 - Install HAN.
4 - Install HEN.

it does it ramdomly with the 3 games that i tested (cabelas big game hunter 2012, dragon ball raging blast, makin and the forsaken kingdom) and with all managers (managunz, irisman hentai version, multiman)

Well, I din't have any issues in using multiman. If I encounter some problem, I will report back.

sometimes recovery screens can be scary :eek:

don't worry, we are gonna get through this! :smiley simmons:

try pushing PS Button on that screen to return to XMB! o_O

yeah i press PS for rebooting but how i never experienced that kind of crashes it scares me a bit because i dunno if it can mess something important and cause a brick. it dont seems very healthy for the console. if you devs fix this it will be awesome.

When I got black screens, I did press the PS button (even held it down). It did nothing. Just turned my controller off lol

Finally getting around to messing with this! Might be slightly off-topic but I'd like to verify something, does ManaGunZ for sure have FTP support? I'm asking as I've seen absolutely no settings for it, can't get my client to connect at all on it, and have found comments saying it doesn't have FTP support as recently as version 1.34 of it. I'm currently able to FTP over to my PS3HEN enabled system just fine through MultiMan 4.82 or webMAN MOD 1.47.19, I just haven't had any success or direct confirmations for ManaGunZ FTP.
