With Chiaki you can use a controller on PC and PS4

Last night my PS4 was getting hot and it shut off I let it cool off awhile turned on the A/C and waited 30 minutes turned it back on and I got like 5 kps in a row. This is on 6.72 where it's usually stable and I never get more than 1 in a row but usually 0.

some of those hosts have a temperature threshold setting. I think there may even been an app for it, but afaik, it resets if the system is shutdown. I've never tried them since my ps4 never gets very hot. I can sometimes hear the fan like when I'd play games for a long time before exploiting the system, but it wasn't as loud as the one for the 360, where I've set the temp thresholds to 60c, the recommended setting.

that's why I've been adding things to xproject, since it's for 5.05. someone else is adding to Leeful's personal host on 5.05. I have both on my sandisk connect, but I haven't updated the Leeful one in a while, since I use xproject. the number of people on 5.05 is getting smaller as some people update. plus, you'd need a system that hasn't updated in a few years. I've never had my system kp while installing pkgs, playing games, or in the home menu, only when deploying hen, and that's pretty rare, so it's a good firmware to be on.

btw, I was going to post this in that thread that got closed, but I found out where the param.sfo's are stored on the ps4 by looking in the database rebuilder script. they're in the appmeta of the system_data partition (not to be confused with the appmeta in the user partition). normally, you can create your own param.sfo when dumping content like dlc or a theme, but I think it might be in there (haven't looked yet), so you might be able to skip that step. however, the actual info will be recorded in the app.db, so if you want to do something like change a game's name, change both the appbrowse and I learned the appinfo tables in sq lite browser to do it. the appbrowse table doesn't seem to be enough. if it's like the vita, the appinfo table contains the game's name in different languages.

FYI I just played Watch Dogs Legion on Chiaki stream on my PC for over an hour, not one glitch or problem and I'm still using Wifi because I'm waiting for a router switch that will reach to my room so I can use ethernet from Ebay. Those people who had problems with Chiaki have bad internet or a bad computer or both. It's perfectly fine if you have a fast internet and a good computer like I do. I don't even experience lag anymore.

Usually though to get all the benefits of internet it's best to use wired. I have 400 mb download and 5G, but even with what I have I need ethernet to get the best of everything and best speeds. Maybe if I had 1G download.

I used to live in Japan. download speeds were about the same for US, but upload speeds were definitely faster than I was accustomed to. I think I used docomo, but that might've just been my cell phone service (can't recall). it means everywhere in Japanese.

I'm using a fake PSN account on Chiaki. I never had a PSN account on my PS4 so I can't use official app. I said this on the first line of this thread.

Neither do i but every exploit host has the IDU payload ( completely safe) just run the payload, go to settings and remote play, it will show the CODE as if you have an account registered on the system.

See even official app uses 720p so you're lowering the resolution to use it. That might be ok if you're in another room or something.

You can set the streaming quality to standard (960x540) or high (1280x720). The latency level depends on your Wi-Fi® network connection. We recommend to you use a wired LAN cable for the connection between the PS4™ console and the Wi-Fi® router.
To set the streaming quality for PS4 Remote Play

  1. From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
  2. Find and tap PlayStation > Connect to PS4 > Remote Play > Settings.
  3. Tap Video Quality for Remote Play and select an option. Standard is enabled by default.

I use a direct conection with REMOTE PLAY, console to pc and as i have the PRO version i use 1080p stream, not even a single lag.

@LuanTeles , if you want to activate your account, you can use account activator. the latest versions 7.xx were ported by @Joonie . you can make up one or you can use the real account id using Leeful's script (requires python). you just need debug.bin or if you use xproject (like I do), use the save mounter payload. the save mounter payload uses both that and the ftp payload. it's both for save mounter and account activator. it will work with either. :) if you're on another host or payload, use ps4debug.bin or netcat to send the payload to the system. I have netcat gui if you need it. it's by modded warfare, whose mega account was taken down. iirc, the port is 9020.

there's also an online activator, but I've never used it. I've only used the offline activator, so that's the only one I can help with.

Oh thanks pinky, it would be very appreciated, can you share the netcat gui?

I wish I had a Pro, but instead two of the old PS4s. Not really worth the investment in one when I also have a gaming PC.

I was just using Chiaki on Switch as well, works fine. But it's also 720p. I can stream my PS4 to PC and then PC to Switch also, and thus PS4 to Switch with SkyNX. Didnt notice much lag either surprisingly.

@LuanTeles , I'm suddenly having issues getting this app to open. I think it's a .net framework error, but I'm not sure what's going on. here it is anyway. let me know if you can open the gui version as this has both gui and command line versions:

Working good thanks =)

if you ever have problems with it, try playstation 4 toolbox. I found out what's causing the problem on my end by asking a dev friend. he said a lot of people now have trouble with netcat gui due to one of the windows updates. playstation 4 toolbox is a good alternative, with more options. you can get it on psxhax. that's where I got it. good luck.

btw, param.sfo for external hdd is in a folder called external:

this is taken from the database rebuilder for external games. however, it's not even needed, because an external drive will be added to the app.db if hen is enabled (even if it didn't come from the same system). this is where sony really messed up. they've corrected it on 8.50 apparently, but they tried to do so on 7.xx, and it was patched by hen. lol

I'm stuck in IDU mode now and apparently it's trying to update my console I won't let it, but I can't run the exploit either which I need to do to disable it. If I try to connect to internet it starts updating IDU which from my understanding will also update PS4.

Edit: i was able to get out of it without updating luckily.

I've been in IDU mode on the vita. it's part of my last vita tutorial when you had fool the system into installing a demo package for adrenaline. it's a pita, because the system will shut off after five minutes if not plugged in. luckily, you no longer have to go into that mode. anyway, it's a no no with the ps4. you should never go into it there.
