PS3 PSNpatch updated to v2017.01/A - New Improvements from KW

It has been awhile sine we have seen PSNpatch updated by developer KW , but now the dev is back with a new update for PSNpatch, providing some new improvements. First change we see in the plugin is a suggestion by psx-places own atreyu187 for support for using PS3 Media Remote / multiple controller ports. Also this update is important for disabling your CFW (syscalls) as we see the emergence of new syscalls there is a need to disable them is a need to disable them for a proper CFW disabling for in theory a much safer experience when connected to PSN on a CFW enabled Console.

PSNpatch has alot of great uses and abilities, one of the many great functions and features of this plugin is that plugin will actually not allow for a PSN login / connections unless you have disabled your CFW syscalls. Probably not the cobra, I tested it on rebug cobraa 4.81 4.81 ferrox 7.30 7.31, cobraa and tested in habib 7.50. Only the webman mod is on your system, gives the error, uninstalled with the command delete.ps3? uninstall, everything is normal. Using the psnpatch plugin, everything ok. Cobra enable

You execute psnpatch and you'll have a list of commands on screen.

Unless you have a controller which always report a press on l2 or r2 - try switching the controller.

Enable Rebug Mode & Cobra in the Rebug Toolbox, then check again.... You should be able to open the Cobra Toolbox with the Select button....
Report if you cannot...

Yes but note that you may also need to change the category_xml files to match your system.

I'm with a ps3 slim CECH 2504 is from my brother.
I installed the webman through psnpatch and I want to update only the webftp_server file to the most current 1.45.08
Do I have to change what in category_xml?

Try reinstalling the app.
This is not normal & I cannot reproduce on Rebug 4.81
Can you use the Triangle button to trigger psnpatch or that does not work either?

You use Cobra cfw so you don't need a prx loader. You should not use psnpatch to install webMAN-MOD. If you install the psnpatch plugin you should make sure webMAN-MOD is not selected. Use psnpatch only to install the psnpatch plugin not webMAN-MOD.
What you want is to use the webMAN-MOD updater. Get the latest at github.com/aldostools/releases.
Install the updater then launch it to install webMAN-MOD.
After reboot you can delete the wMM updater.

1. Use the old wMM updater that corresponds to the version you want.

Where is the xmb psnpatch webman add-ons installed?

This bug occours only, when I want to spoof my IDPS, while Cobra is enabled.

When I disable CFW-Syscalls (hitting the "triangle-button"), PSN-Patch_V-2017.01-A also spoofs the IDPS. Hmm, why?
--> To hitting the "triangle-button" is therefore the same as to hitting the "x-button".

It works correctly, when Cobra is disabled.

I don't know, if this bug has to do with Cobra 7.31 or with PSN-Patch_V-2017.01-A itself.

That happens because you use psnpatch to disable syscalls but you also have the plugin installed.
The plugin detects something messing with the syscalls (this case is psnpatch app but it could be any other home brew) and does all the disabling and spoofing.

If you have this particular need of sometimes disabling only syscalls and other times doing also the idps spoofing, you should uninstall the plugin and use only the app.

Where is the xmb psnpatch webman add-ons installed?

What you call xmb addon is the category_game.xml files I was telling you about... Lol
There are 3 of them.
I believe the first letter means
c for cobra
n for non cobra
o for original

Edit: @kokotonix is right. This thread is not for psnpatch support really. Please create your own thread or use the psnpatch support thread if you need more information.
