If you are on oficial 4.66 firmware do not try to use this files you may brick your ps3, you need something like Cobra ODE

Not all PS3 modells are CFW-able.
But a CECH-2004A must (and can) be downgraded via Hardware(eg E3-flasher)... there is no software-only-solution for this !
Google for "ps3 downgrade service".... or google for "ps3 E3 downgrade tutorial" in order to find out how hard it is to do it yourself.

I have a slim ps3, not the newest one but the second neweset with version 4.66, can i still jailbreak it, and how do i jailbreak it?
can someone do a written tutorial or via skype?

kinda new to this stuff, but trying to jailbreak my ps3 says it/'s 4.60 but i keep getting data is corrupted.

i tried all of them so far all im getting is 73% and data is corrpted i never jailed break this before so i don't know what is wrong.

You can not installed CFW from OFW above 3.55 ..

You can only install CFW from 3.55 Official Firmware (OFW) or from a CFW.

Also some Slim models and All super Slim models you can not install CFW on
 
hi guys, I was wondering if someone can help me with a question. question is I just updated from habib 4.65 to habib 4.66 and now when I start my ps3 I get a notification that the firmware is not supported. why? and what does that mean?
 
hi I am on 4.66 and I have never jailbreak my ps3 before can you tell me step by step what to do I tried to download one of the files above but in 77% it keep telling me file corrupted on ps3
I did a folder name PS3 AND ON IT UPDATE THEN I DID PUT THE PS3UPDAT.PUP BUT STILL NOT WORKING

You need downgrade to 3.55 with hardware flasher. There is no software only solution at the moment. And your console model need to be cech-250X or lower (and for 2500 you need to know your datacode)

Hi all...i was wondering if someone could help me. I just bought a system off someone and before he gave it to me he connected and updated to official 4.66..is there anyway o soft mod to 4.66 cfw.. Model number cech4201c
 
There is NO WAY to install CFW on your model at all. Soft or hard mod, you only option is a ODE and you must have a bluray burner. Super slims are not hackable via CFW.
 
I am new to the PS3 Jailbreaking world. i have set up a second HHD so i dont lose any of my original data or take the chance of messing anything up. however i am trying to go through the processes and it seams that none of the CFW's are working for me. i have 500+ GB HHD in my CECH-2001B and i am on the OFW 4.66. so far the files i have used either do not register on the update or they get to about 70% and say its corrupted. There is no internal modding other than the HHD Swap. Is there something that i am doing wrong?

yes you are not on 3.55 OFW (or CFW)

send it to someone and have them do a hardware downgrade (the only downgrade method for OFW 3.56+) We actually have 2 Moderators here that do it [MENTION=61]pinkfloydviste[/MENTION] and [MENTION=11]No0bZiLLa[/MENTION] in the states (for a price of course)
 
hey guys im new on this forum and i wil like to know is me ps3 whit frimware 4.66 his serial number its cech-3004a.or somone point to the trhead i need to post for some info
