PS3 4.66 HABIB v1.00 (w/ Cobra 7.03)

Custom Firmware Developer HABIB has released his latest CFW with HABIB 4.66 v1.00, that is equipped with COBRA 7.03 feature and the ability to Toggle on and off the cobra payload. Also in this CFW build is deank's new Anti ODE Cobra Patches that has improved Game Compatibility on many problem games for Cobra User's. HABIB has also made some improvements in regards to[break]..[/break] PS2 on PS3 via Cobra with a fix to that Controller Sync issue that has been a problem since 4.50 CFW. Now play your PS2 ISOs without the restriction of that cord like its was meant to be on your PlayStation 3.

Some may wonder if developer HABIB is not with REBUG, but from what we have heard at PSX-Place the developer is still apart of the team and we also should be seeing a REBUG Release soon as well. Checkout all the details of this Standard CFW with Cobra 7.03 from developer HABIB (aka smhabib)

Anyways its fine. thanks for the hardwork-habib

I switched from DARKNET 4.66 v1.01 to this one then installed the latest webMAN MOD v1.41.05. Now my webMAN is not working. I'm getting the 80130181 network error message. :/

webMAN & IRISMAN does not support CFW with "/dev_flash/shity". I requested to habib to change that name, but he prefers to leave that "shity" folder on YOUR console.

I don't see anything "funny" to put "sh!t" or leak resources taken from rebug project and publish it as his own...

That is exactly how I interpreted all this too. Hope he is actually in some kind of deal with Rebug and not just screwing them over...

Webman Mod Rex Edition, can not remember the version, and Gamesonic Manager v3.50, both work perfectly on CFW 4.66 Habib / Cobra

Why aldo IRISMAN should not work on this CFW? What does the path "dev_flash/shity" with the proper operation of the backup manager?

For now the only feature that does not work in Gamesonic Manager is the toggle cobra that I just updated :)

For the rest, I fully agree with you

It is not supported because I do not tolerate that kind of "fun" with the dev_flash of other users. If you want to support that, it is up to you.

Thanks STLcardsWS.

I have tested it on CECHL04,

Webman Mod 1.41.05 works fine, ISO launch correctly
Mutliman 4.66.08 works fine too, backup launch correctly

I thought habib was the one that fixed the wireless ps2 bug fix, and he was the one to finally fully implement cobra stage 2 disable?
Honestly, we put a lot of "funny" folders on the ps3 if you think about it: "GAMES, GAMEZ, GAMEI, PS3ISO, PS2ISO, PSXISO, Retro, etc. We throw webman-mod into the dev_flash for webman_mod.
I would assume the "shity" folder was probably a dev variable used "temporarily" and never fixed. I've done this with variables when testing different methodologies. Maybe I assume too much.
Either way, it seems like its in an area that the average user wouldn't even know about to begin with, and the only people that would really see it are developers when they go through code, or manually search flash.
I'd also assume that the person going into dev_flash would know what these extra folders were before modifying/deleting them...it is system flash after all....

I can see both sides of the equation, and both have valid points for their arguments. I just hope a decent resolution happens without any extra angst in the community, and that the community doesn't suffer due to personal issues between developers :)

Where can i get ps2 classic placeholder(redirection) ?

I have ps2_classic_placeholder_r3 get 80010006 error

you add " /dev_hdd0/classic_ps2 " first
then you convert ps2iso in multuman mode then you mount the ps2 classic game to play. or you can mount the any of ps2 classic game to play if you have converted ps2 classic game alreay...
make sure the game is playable..
then you can delete "/dev_hdd0/classic_ps2" , then you can mount ps2iso in mmCM then run ps2 classic place holder to play ...

I used Habib cobra 4.53 / 4.55 and this folder wasn't annoying it's just ugly in showtime. An option to hide it might be a good thing. Anyway..
Thank you habib

I gotta go with 'aldo' on this one smhabib, formerly rogero cfw(quit & mantle soon taken by habib) now rebug or not? Hope its ALL his own work and no-one else contributed

I loved some of his earlier creations , although his lvl2 patches actually broke compatibility more than fixed it ( hence why everyone has removed them from their sources )

If he is TOTALLY responsible for ps2 wireless then I TOTALLY respect that

But as for putting a 'Shity' folder in dev_flash is that 'Shity' really necessary, I think not he's always loved his self stamp a bit duplex if you would.
even older cfw's from this 'dev' had to have a 'smhabib' folder again in dev_flash

I personally have never wanted to be a 'public success' on the www. With what we are doing here if you really had your head screwed on you'd keep it outa sight( your head that is)

So I gotta agree with aldo all day on this

Come on HABIB , remove that 'Shity' folder and thus you will gain more trust from those that do not know you or understand the TRUE meaning what it is to be a 'dev' (stuff like this leads to distrust and personally I don't want that )

I remember EARLIER scene and some serious 'knob' put out an open manager.pkg and when you ran it , thinking i'll check this out it DELETED all games from your internal HDD
It was coded by a knob to be a knob , so not all people who can code are trustworthy

DARKNET 4.66 v1.02 For Me

If anyone can tell me the plusses this one has over it I may jump ship , but ive never found fault in DARKNET 4.66 v1.02 ( not once )
