For me its not a bad idea to use the folder /habib
For example if stage2.bin need to be update (vsh.self hash need to be update in it for spoof, PS3M_API update, ...) this can help updater to detect witch cobra cfw is really and install the right stage2.bin for this one.
But after if each dev use this own folder his cfw code for cobra toggle would be more bigger so i understand choice of aldostools about location.

Alternatively it there is also an interesting approach to use the same folder for every CFW distribution keeping a more homogeneous folder tree, but change the name of stage2 for each one (ex: stage2.bin stage2.habib stage2.cex (rebug) stage2.dex (rebug), etc ....)

you need to enable it back manually of course until i make another hombrew app
P.S:no frontpage material here :)

Dear friends habib, Joonie and aldostools, I do not understand what the purpose of discussion of you on the plugin_cobra_swap file just download the link that HABIB released previously.
-Afinal To serving this plugin_cobra_swap file?
How and where should I put it manually?
If I do not put it that losses CFW 4.70 HABIB (snake 7:10) version 1.01 I have?

Another thing I found very important in HABIB 4.66 v1.01 was the stage2.bin files in the / dev_flash / sys / and now CFW HABIB 4.70 v1.01 no longer have this file there. What happened? I will not need more of this file?

I also realized that the HABIB TOOLBOX no longer works in this CFW, I do so when you want to switch to COBRA for CFW CFW CEX STANDARD or when you want to switch the PS2EMULATOR?

Friends habib, Joonie and aldostools can you help me with these questions please?

I think these questions are all I did get lost on the plugin_cobra_swap file, downloaded it but do not know what it is for and how to use it and do not know how to switch modes snake and cex in CFW and ps2emulator modes !!!

If you press cross+r2+circle it will disable cobra
No need to swap ps2 files, read cobra 7.02, 7.03 changelogs

I have an idea about the discussion on which to place the various paths a patch, plugin, etc., I think you should create a standard of some major routes, using standard routes of OFW.

I agree with what is said by sandungas that the introduction of folders like "rebug" and "habib" and "name developper" can make that Sony identifies a CFW.
If I remember correctly months ago had discussed the use of folders funny.

From what I understand, the folder identifies the developer or team of that particular patch or modification, but this means that some homebreaw as Webman etc. implement these pathways.

thanks habib and all the developer for the work done so far.

ps: Habib and Joonie, when the new version rebug?

I've tried this version (1.01) but had to go back to 1.00, because with this version i get a error login in on psn

Lord habib is simple my question: what is and how to use the file plugin_cobra_swap file?

Using the correct way to cross sequence + r2 + circle?

And where is the stage2.bin file in your CFW 4.66 appeared in / dev_flash / sys /?

Can anyone help me with this doubt trivial?

Thank U.

ps: Habib and Joonie, when the new version rebug?

About stage2 path of rebug:

I have no plan to change this path that was introduced since unofficial leak of 4.53.1.

About "rebug" folder in dev_flash:

This path was used since REBUG 3.41, and currently used as detection of REBUG FW for all toolbox builds, I have no intention to change this until cyberskunk agrees with this which currently has no ETA for our decision.

About the release date of newer build of REBUG:

the cfw is being heavily tested at the moment, basicially finished couple weeks ago but only a few minor stuff has been updating [mostly webMAN and supported homebrew].

I have finished porting several homebrew that support 4.70 DEX also, I will release all of them altogether as soon as I get back from my vacation.

Either way, REBUG comes with its own edition of webMAN and toolbox, that fully support cobra toggle and etc, if other developers have problem with rebug folder in dev_flash, there is nothing I can help them with this. I hope you guys understood my concern. Thanks all for sharing your valuable opinions with us.

Thanks, clarified the situation is as well.
My intention was to standardize some peculiarities of CFW to prevent Sony can identify the CFW when in the OFW (cobra disable, and disable Peek and Poke). :)

If they want identify your cfw they look for stage2.bin, stage2.bin.swp, etc. Doesn't matter which folder is used. IMO if habib, darkjiros, Alexander, cyberskunk, or anyone else want to use they own name folder is OK. But also developers of homebrew don't need to support them. I don't see problem in adding some code to updaters/installers for check which cfw is used, is even better. Because develeopers can use their own patches for cfw and homebrew. Is no problem now to have bigger pkg, we can handle 1-2 mb more... Until this don't affect PS3 Ram memory is OK.

There are thousand ways to detect CFW by Sony, this is just the easiest one so it doesn't really matter how to use those folders to avoid detection.

Of course it matters that if you want to go on line and you've provided sony with the easiest method of detection. If there's another way then it should be looked at. What I'd like to see is a log recorded of all the people who have been banned with info of what cfw they used along with the homebrew used with it. Also if they'd done anything stupid to warrant a ban.

Don't tell me rebug folder in dev flash caused ban since 3.41 version of REBUG, I am not saying this has nothing to do with it, but this is nothing new for them to make a use out of

habib, i've installed this version (1.01) and gave me a error login in on psn, have installed again the version 1.00 and everything works fine to me, this happens only to me?

My setup is ps3 slim, with psnpatch (latests version) and webman .26

Thanks in advance

"Latest" can mean different things for different people at different times.
But your issue seems to be related to the fact that PSNPatch plugin 4.70.X locks psn access for safety, until you use it to disable CFW. Which is the expected behavior.

Nothing to do with habib CFW ;)

Firstly when you post please tell us your ps3 model.
Ps2 can sync only 1 wireless controller it happens same on 7.00 on 4.46

If on non-bc ps3 you need to use classic method(explained everywhere)

CECHL04

and what do you mean classic method ?
you mean PS2 Classic ? or PS2 Launcher ? or just mount the game from webman ?

kokotonix, i do the same thing on both version, i do the combo L2, R2 and R3 and i can go online on 1.00 version and with 1.01 version i can't... strange... i've 2 ps3 @ home, one slim and one fat, the slim with 1.01 gave error login in on psn, the fat with 1.00 worked fine, put the version 1.00 on slim again, and working without any problems

Don't twist my words. I didn't say one way or the other. if a record of peoples bans was kept then we might be able to see.

Very very strange.
I've just tested both habib 4.70 cobra 1.00 and 1.01 working both as they should.
