PS3 4.70 HABIB Starbucks (Cobra v7.10) v1.02

Custom Firmware developer HABIB has made official the release of v1.02 of his 4.70 HABIB Starbucks (Cobra v7.10) CEX CFW advancing the previous (same) OPEN BETA PUP recently released as the official one. So if you installed the OPEN Beta then you are good to go, for user's who were waiting for the official release rest assured Habib's test went as expected and the developer has signed off on the firmware.. In v1.02 the developer has made alot of improvements to ps2_netemu (PS2 for nonBC Consoles), while Habib in recent months was able get around the wireless controller sync on PS2 ISO[break]ss[/break] past 4.46 CFW the problem for the 2nd, 3rd,. 4th ect.. controllers was still an issue, but now that is also a problem of the past with this update. Also since 4.50+ PS2 Classic format games used unencrypted mem card, with this update it has now been corrected by the developer.No more "classic_ps2 flag is needed and additional improvements that can be seen in the section marked as v1.02 below

UPDATE Version 1.02 ​ PS2 ON NON-BC since cobra 4.50++ classics used unencrypted mem card, its now fixed no more classic_ps2 flag is needed, if iso mounted, run placeholder/legit ps2 npdrm and iso will boot(do notice we need classics mem card not the unencrypted one) new method adapted in which disc icon for ps2 is not affected at all, just sync lose there INSTRUCTIONS: Maintain the sync of controllers on XMB and mount the game through launcher if any instruction is unclear, please see release threads of rebug 4.65 and habib 4.66/4.70

Not disrespecting the work in any way, but i noticed the PayPal link and after reading about his PP problems i clicked on it and i was greeted with:

My immediate response on IRC was:

Now i won't go into the whole asking for donations for a modified version of other peoples(Sony's) copy written work, but i will say there is no face palm i can post that is great enough for this situation >.<

it"s possible it didn't sync as it"s happened to me before on PS3 alone, I can attest to this working as I've been running this FW off and on since Habib released the beta doing different tests on this and another FW (all without a flasher)

 

Nice to see some progress on this. Not gonna use it myself as I am content with 4.21.2 Rbug REX Cobra 7.1 but others will be just giddy. If I could use my CU3 on a newer firmware I would be possible but I don't ever see this happening ever.

Cobra brought true discless, boot plugins and almost 100% compatibility. multiMAN is closed source and can only be truly updated by deank.

Not everyone has a PC powerful enough to run a PS2 emulator and even if they do, they do not always have it connected to a TV, you have to remember that a CFW/MFW is released for all people in the scene and not just you.
Many people love PS2 games and enjoy being able to play them on their games console.

You should do more work on the rest than this shit with PS2 games

How about this, instead of you demanding that someone else should do something, how about you get your finger out and work on the rest of 'this shit' yourself, if you don't have the ability, then be happy with what you have.

1.BUG fixed.some people actually enjoyed the bug lol.be sure to have proper mem card.npdrm/placeholder=original encrypted mem card and disc icon=virtual mem card from mem card utility

2 and 3:your hdd might be dying

Now I've tried it myself... I installed v1.02 Your CFW...and I can say:
1) No problem with memory card PS2
2) loading speed for items in Game column is perfect...I see no difference with CFW previous version (v1.01)
3) After using PS2 ISO, webMAN works

You're probably right....for me you have done a great job and I thank you for this new update
