Yes, you can do it. Make sure you do not have any inserted bd (game) disc and have the internet disconnected.
 
switch only if you want to play ps1 backups.oveflow 4.82 plays them but don't play ps2 iso's.

only rebug 4.81.2 plays all backups.to flash older cfw than 4.82 you need to enable QA or flash already pached cfw to be able to flash.

Ferrox is my own creation. For respect for other developers, I can tell you that if you want a clean and fast custom firmware that resembles the original one, Ferrox seems to me the most appropriate choice. The other cfw's have more customizations, such as REBUG. If you need more features, my advice is to head to a CFW'S Rebug, if you do not have to do more, Ferrox will be the right choice.
Then I'm of the opinion that if you're fine with a cfws, that's what you'll always choose.

No CFW is already patched with QA it still needs to be toggled on or off, please don't spread misinformation

I just want to play my Backup PSX, PS2 and PS3 games.
 
Alexander hello, first I want to congratulate for ferrox, I have ps3 since February 2017, and I'm really liking her, I was going to ask you something, PSP games was talking to a friend who has a habib, and games like Parasite Eve - The 3rd Birthday) in it works perfect, and when I play the same game with the same launcher, by ferrox it gets bugs, in the image, and game play is just the sound without image, other PSP games, it passing the CGs them they give black screen in the gameplay, there I was told that habib was better for psx, psp, ps2, progame games or all were to have the same compatibility. A hug and success always.

The cobra sources are identical, so it sounds weird that there are all these differences of compatibility. But I can tell you that PSP emulation on PS3 is really badly managed ... In fact, games that work properly are really few. For the rest PSX, PS2, PS3, I've never noticed this great compatibility difference.

I've never bothered with psp isos really. when I was on cobra, I used the psp launcher, an app that's installed. a lot of popular games had major problems. anyway, psp games are just psn mini's. they both use the same emulator.
 
Tested this CFW on CECH-2504A and CECHG04 NAND PS3 Work fine to me but im not play ps2 and psp games on ps3 for ps3 games work awesome ty Alexander
 
I installed (cfw 4.82 FERv7.53 COBRA v7.53) in my ps3 its work fine i instal too prepare ntfs and when i start prepare ntfs after i put my usb ntfs web man and multiman not found my usb ? Any idea ?​

For me best way to play psp games is making a psp remaster pkg think it ads more compatibility then running psp isos also(not sure), also we can remap d-pad to right analog stick along with other instructions.

aldostools is a must have set of tools to use on pcf or any that as a cfw ps3, if you dont have it yet i suggest you look into it.
