I had that issue, the way I fixed it was using the Alternate HEN Installer at ps3xploit. After you back out of remote play and install it, reboot and it should work properly.

HEN was installed the first time back out of remote play and install it,, but when trying to enable it it just froze.
Retrying to run the Alternate HEN Installer but still kept failing.
Other suggestions?

Hello, you will see I try to install update 4 87 but every time I am in recovery it tells me damaged data (8002F2C5) sometimes it does not find the file that I do

yes the problem is fixed secure mooda format system

When throwing software, it should be formatted first always

If you continue with the old system that is not formatted, if you have problems

definitely don't update to 4.87 if you don't play ps3 online games

format is a last resort for me...but if it is the only way to fix it then that is the way it must be.

This FW is just an exploitable OFW 4.87 that allows to install HEN 3.0.2. You don't need HEN if you're on CFW.

If you want to go online you can use SEN Enabler or upgrade to Evilnat's CFW 4.87.2

Yeah kinda weird! I'm also having this problem. Everything was fine for a few days after 4.87 HFW/HEN3.02. But now it freezes almost every time.(HEN).

Yeah I've noticed something that may be of interest with HEN 3.02 freezing. When I try to enable HEN instead of the new logo it went back to the old logo with the neon or green colored HEN boot screen. So imo it looks like 3.01 HEN bits and pieces may still be on the hdd and causing conflict. IDK!!! Just a thought. Maybe Dev's can take a look.... or please correct me. Maybe this is normal. But I don't Remember seeing the black/green boot banner with the new logo boot. Sorry/Thanks

an outdated toolbox or other mod might have overwritten your catagory_game.xml. if you think that is the problem, reinstall hfw and hen.

UPDATE!!!!! JUST REINSTALLED 4.87HFW FROM THE USB! THEN HEN AGAIN AND WORKED FIRST TRY. IN ANOTHER POST SOMEONE MENTIONED SWITCHING OUT HDD BUT THIS ISN'T NECESSARY. I ALSO REMEMBER HAVING SAME ISSUE BACK WITH 4.85 AND JUST REINSTALLING HFW/HEN FIXED THE ISSUE THEN AS WELL. THANKS CORO FOR YOUR RESPONSE...... IMMM BACKKKK!

You're definitely onto something there, my HEN works perfectly and has the new logo. What I did was installed 4.87 first, then used coro's hen install method so that 3.0.1 HEN was installed. Then once the official release came out, I used the alternate HEN installer and it updated to 3.0.2 and everything works.

Hello could you please spare some time for this. My ps3 update menu says NO APPLICABLE UPDATE DATA WAS FOUND.
MY PS3 HAS 4.87 AND NEVER EVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THIS SO PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE THANK YOU.

the usb device must be formated fat32 with mbr. use the usb slot closest to the disc drive.

MBR (Master Boot Record) is the partition type used by the USB disk. The other type is GPT (GUID Partition Table).

On Windows use DiskPart tool select the partition, clean all, convert mbr, then format to fat32

You can find video tutorials on YouTube that explain this procedure step by step.

MBR is 32bit with a maximum partition size of 2TB. GPT is 64bit and allows larger partitions.
