just a few hours ago updated a CECHA01 from 4.84 OFW to Beta 4 and like everyone else sofar i too noticed on a second Run it stuck. same error , 8002F155 (had upgraded its HDD from the stock 60GB to a 250GB SSD)
You can install a GamePad Testing tool app@Evilnat I also would like to see a GamePad Testing tool inside the toolbox if it's possible. This would be very helpful.
Great job on the cfw everyone involved!
Thanks
What format is your USB? I would check Managunz page and ensure folder directory structure is good along with format, also have noticed a toggle in mmcm/Multiman that changes from Fat32 drivers to NTFS etc, might be worth toggling to match and see if it works out.dont know if its because of beta4 or the version of ManaGunZ, but it, and from burned DVD-R, i get 80028F17 when trying to run PS2 ISOs from CF/USB where i could on my CECHE01 (80GB), it only worked from HDD/
Great work. I noticed an issue. We do R2+∆, then login to a PSN user account. Change user. Try to connect to PSN with this other user. It keeps saying "PSN : disabled, Activate:R2+∆" Even if we do again R2+∆ it doesn't resolve the issue.Only reboot helps.
You can't run PS2 ISOs from CF / USB. Even when it does seemingly work it actually copies the ISO to the internal HDD and runs it from there. On officially BC consoles it should be possible to install OPL to run PS2 games directly from USB but it will be painfully slow.dont know if its because of beta4 or the version of ManaGunZ, but it, and from burned DVD-R, i get 80028F17 when trying to run PS2 ISOs from CF/USB where i could on my CECHE01 (80GB), it only worked from HDD/
Thank you for the clarification NiQ, I remember reading this for non-backwards-compatible consoles and it completely escaped me in my response lol. If you have switched to DEX, this will revise your console ID and create a mismatch to games, this can be adjusted in WebMan setup IDPS & Mem setup. The above information applies to games that you own, piracy is not endorsed or supported on this forum
i could swear i had it working more or less on my CECHE01 (US 80gb BC) but yes the System i've installed Beta4 in (using PEX not straight up DEX) is a CECHA01You can't run PS2 ISOs from CF / USB. As I said, it was just copying the ISO to the internal HDD and running it from there. When you run a PS2 title, the USB ports emulate the PS2's USB ports. Basically they virtually detach from the PS3 and attach to the PS2 subsystem. That means that if you had an ISO mounted from a USB, the system would lose access to it once a PS2 title launches.i could swear i had it working more or less on my CECHE01 (US 80gb BC) but yes the System i've installed Beta4 in (using PEX not straight up DEX) is a CECHA01
ahh ok then that explains the error more or less. Just glad i have this 60GB BC unit up n running, (it needed a Hella massive cleaning and the thermal paste was just crumbling to the touch.) though even w/ fan controls set to Syscon, seems more aggressive than the 80GB BC unit of mine. (( my roomie ends up weekly hosting "get together"/ dnd parties for his friends in the upstairs half of our split-level home, so now w/ the hunt for the A01 over, might just put the E01 upstairs for a "Community-use PS3.)As I said, it was just copying the ISO to the internal HDD and running it from there. When you run PS2 games, the USB ports emulate the PS2 ports so they're downgraded to USB 1.x.ive never use opl on my cecha. but unlike ps2 that usb is 1.0 on fats and 1.1 on slim, ps3 is usb 2.0 and it will still stutters on videos for example? really i dont know but just for knowledge i ask
hi Evilnat thanks a lot for these versions that you are doing for all of us to enjoy and test, im wondering if perhaps is there a way that you can add a manual fan speed to be at 35% as well on the fan settings of the console on a future update that you may do, thanks a lot for all your hard work and have a nice day
yes more fan speeds would be nice
+
to lower minimum fan speed, and
+
to raise (5% increments).
