4.93 EVILNAT (Cobra 8.5)

PS3 4.93 Evilnat w/ Cobra v8.5 - (CEX/PEX/D-PEX) 4.93

Thank you for this great Firmware

is possible on the firmware to have the possibility to keep in Network for the CFW the possibility to choose the language independly than the PS3 interface language ?

i ask that because unfortunatly the french translation of this great CFW is a little not it should be ^^ i am sorry i dont want to be rude or make feel bad the translator who i think is probably Quebecois from Canada ^^ but they are many words in france and in european countries who speak french and in other place in the world we dont translate from english to french as thechnical names because it lost all sense and we dont even know what it mean

For Exemple the word DUMP it translate to another one who i dont even remeber because is no sense as a french guy from france ^^.

i need to watch youtube video of the CFW to know where to push to go to the option or tool i need ^^ like if it was in chineese lol

if is not possible to choose separatly the language of the custom firmware as i think in webman, any one can please a nice respectous word with the french Québecois (our cousin ^^) translator to ask him please to not translate the technical word as Dump ?

hope my english who is bad dont show like i miss respect for the important work of the french translator :)

i am sincerly realy lost regarding that translation im not used yet for CFW to no need to read or remeber this mean DUMP and this mean is the Tools Box etc ^^

As a suggestion can i ask if is possible to add an "GamePad Test" to test the axis buttons of our pads ? ^^

thank you again for thise crazy great works ! ♥

dont know if its because of beta4 or the version of ManaGunZ, but it, and from burned DVD-R, i get 80028F17 when trying to run PS2 ISOs from CF/USB where i could on my CECHE01 (80GB), it only worked from HDD/

Great work. I noticed an issue. We do R2+∆, then login to a PSN user account. Change user. Try to connect to PSN with this other user. It keeps saying "PSN : disabled, Activate:R2+∆" Even if we do again R2+∆ it doesn't resolve the issue.Only reboot helps.

What format is your USB? I would check Managunz page and ensure folder directory structure is good along with format, also have noticed a toggle in mmcm/Multiman that changes from Fat32 drivers to NTFS etc, might be worth toggling to match and see if it works out.

If you have switched to DEX, this will revise your console ID and create a mismatch to games, this can be adjusted in WebMan setup IDPS & Mem setup. The above information applies to games that you own, piracy is not endorsed or supported on this forum

I do believe syscalls are enabled by default and by switching accounts they may be re-enabled. If wanting to login without syscalls, try disabling syscalls and removing history manually via Custom Firmware tools >>> PSN Tools and determine if still same result. Please also ensure that you have the latest version of WebMan Mod installed, after attempting the above report back so developers can identify if isolated event, a potential FW resolution, or relative to Webman shortcuts etc. Thank you for your feedback

You can't run PS2 ISOs from CF / USB. Even when it does seemingly work it actually copies the ISO to the internal HDD and runs it from there. On officially BC consoles it should be possible to install OPL to run PS2 games directly from USB but it will be painfully slow.

Thank you for the clarification NiQ, I remember reading this for non-backwards-compatible consoles and it completely escaped me in my response lol. I appreciate your contributions and expertise, many thanks.

FAT32 (was just a old Emtec 32GB USB Stick, )

i could swear i had it working more or less on my CECHE01 (US 80gb BC) but yes the System i've installed Beta4 in (using PEX not straight up DEX) is a CECHA01

As I said, it was just copying the ISO to the internal HDD and running it from there. When you run a PS2 title, the USB ports emulate the PS2's USB ports. Basically they virtually detach from the PS3 and attach to the PS2 subsystem. That means that if you had an ISO mounted from a USB, the system would lose access to it once a PS2 title launches.

ahh ok then that explains the error more or less. Just glad i have this 60GB BC unit up n running, (it needed a Hella massive cleaning and the thermal paste was just crumbling to the touch.) though even w/ fan controls set to Syscon, seems more aggressive than the 80GB BC unit of mine. (( my roomie ends up weekly hosting "get together"/ dnd parties for his friends in the upstairs half of our split-level home, so now w/ the hunt for the A01 over, might just put the E01 upstairs for a "Community-use PS3.)

When you run PS2 games, the USB ports emulate the PS2 ports so they're downgraded to USB 1.x.

hi Evilnat thanks a lot for these versions that you are doing for all of us to enjoy and test, im wondering if perhaps is there a way that you can add a manual fan speed to be at 35% as well on the fan settings of the console on a future update that you may do, thanks a lot for all your hard work and have a nice day

yes more fan speeds would be nice

I had noticed that also in Customfirmware Tools>>> Fan Tools ' minimum fan setting appears to be 40%, which for some of us that have re-pasted/de-lidded with great temperature results, may still be a bit high for idle for some. +1 to the above requests, would be nice to have this feature 'baked-in'. Thanks for all of the work you do

For the interim: I will say that WebMan Mod has been working fantastic for me with managing minimum fan speeds below 40%, from xmb use shortcut :dir left: + :but select: to lower minimum fan speed, and :dir right: + :but select: to raise (5% increments).
