Major_Pothead92, glad that fix worked for you. The wiki's instruction there,
...is not very user-friendly, so can you share how you did it step-by-step? What's the [title ID] of Fallout NV: UE you got working and [title ID] of the update you got the eboot from?YOU MUST TAKE THE UPDATE 1.06 OF 292 MB, take the EBOOT OF THE FOLDER "UISDIR" IN THE UPDATE, AND REPLACE BY THE EBOOT OF THE GAME, EDIT THE PARAM.SFO BY THE UPDATED VERSION OF YOUR LANGUAGE. UPDATE PAGE: https://store.brewology.com/updates.php?letters=def CHANGE THE VERSION TO 1.06 AND REPLACE THE PARAM.SFO
I'm trying to improve the instructions on the same Compatibility List to be user-friendly so I'm wondering if the instructions I wrote below is similar to what you did:
I read that some of the "Exclusive Methods" entered on that list were roughly translated from a Russian forum so the Engrish is hard to follow.
- Download manually the v1.06 (292 MB size) update/patch for BLUS30500,
- Using PS3GameConvert_v0.91, click YES then select the v1.06 update PKG you've downloaded,
- Set the destination folder of the conversion output,
- Choose the PS3_GAME folder from your retail disc BLUS30888 (or BLES01478 or BLES01475) ISO.
- For HAN: Move the two output folders made by PS3GameConvert_v0.91 to your [make-backup-pkg] directory then run [do.bat]. Use PKG Linker to move the output Debug PKGs to OFW PS3.
Back! Unfortunately my fourth install was a failure as well. My first install resulted in the game not even appearing on the XMB, my next one told me to insert disc, my 3rd told me an error occurred, and my fourth told me to insert disc as well.

I'll try now this stepsI got NV Ultimate Edition working, US copy. I ran into a lot of errors myself back when I was still set on getting this game installed. I installed the game a while ago and don't remember step for step exactly what I did, but it was pretty straight forward.
Anyhow, download update 1.06 from brewology or wherever you can obtain updates. Copy the eboot from the update go back to your new vegas game folder and paste / replace the eboot there with the one you copied.
Next, open param.sfo and change the game / title ID to that of the update you downloaded. (For example, NV Ultimate Edition is BLUS30888 in my case. I changed it to BLUS30500 since that is the update I used.) make sure to save the changes.
Now you can go ahead and try converting with cfw2ofw, it should detect an update now since you modified the param.sfo. Proceed as per normal or use ps3gameconvert.
Basically just copy the eboot from 1.06 and replace the games default eboot with the one you copied from the update. Then a quick edit to the param.sfo and conversion / installation should work.
Sounds like something that happened to me once when I was trying to convert AC Rogue lmao. Are you using ps3gameconvert? You might have just misclicked / set some wrong settings in the process if that's the case.

I believe this was the first thing I tried but I will attempt again right now, maybe I made a mistake somewhere.I got NV Ultimate Edition working, US copy. Sometimes these things just don't work and it's a fluke or something but I'll let you know. My packages are installing and at 7% presently. Does it matter what order I install them in? I've been installing them smallest to largest because that's what worked for God of War III.Let me know how it turns out. I'll clear up some space on my ps3 and try reconverting / reinstalling it if you guys still need help. That way I can write a more detailed explanation on how it's done and take screenshots or something.
No luck, I get the please insert disc response when I try to boot. I'm wondering if while editing the param I should have marked the game as "HG Hard Drive Game" instead of "DG Disc Game (blueray)" I think I tried this before however.Let me know how it turns out. The game is being converted with the correct update right (1.06)? And are you using ps3gameconvert or cfw2ofw helper?
I edited as DG Disc Game but same errorNo luck, I get the please insert disc response when I try to boot. I'm wondering if while editing the param I should have marked the game as "HG Hard Drive Game" instead of "DG Disc Game (blueray)" I think I tried this before however.
Alright I'm replacing the eboot after the conversion but there's the game folder and the update folder. So I replaced the eboot in the game but not the update and proceeded to make the packages.I'll reconvert and reinstall it some point tonight, maybe try adding / replacing the eboot after the conversion process (before running make_backup_pkg.) It's been a bit over a month since I saw the new method and installed using it. I don't necessarily have the best short term memory either lol.
I don't think it matters which order you install the packages in either, so long as all 3 get installed. I usually install the game first, then patch, and license last.

Same here, even did the steps using CFW2OFW helper

Did you guys manage to get the game installed and working? Maybe just use ps3gameconvert, make sure you use patch 1.06. Let ps3gameconvert do its thing and finish. Once complete, then copy the eboot from the patch you downloaded and replace the one in the game folder. Proceed to use make_backup_pkg and resign / install and the game should run... Also, make sure the param.sfo says version 1.06.
I found this related thread [Aug 23, 2018] http://www.psx-place.com/threads/help-fallout-new-vegas.20510/Major_Pothead92
I've never made sure that the param says version 1.06 would that be the app version then? I'll try that now once with replacing the eboot before and once with replacing it after.Did you guys manage to get the game installed and working? overly alergic? Ive been keeping an eye on this one to. Just keep it tidy. Last thing you want me to say is just use the disk......I found this related thread [Aug 23, 2018] http://www.psx-place.com/threads/help-fallout-new-vegas.20510/
where you were asking about same game. (thread closed by overly allergic mod while they could have just deleted/edited the 'offending' replies and PM'ed warnings)
Just to narrow down what's been tried and what failed,
— Shows you also already tried:
"Edited the Param.SFO and Disc.SFB to the BLUS30500 region code instead of the BLUS30888 one that Ultimate Edition uses, then went along and successfully converted with CFW2OFW, made the packages and signed them etc. When I finally got it installed on my system, yet again I was told to insert the disc before the game would even start."
— PS3GameConvert_0.7 has been tried but still got errors,
— CFW2OFW Helper is out because that tool won't allow conversion using only individual patches,
That's my opinion of you.overly alergic? Ive been keeping an eye on this one to. Just keep it tidy. Last thing you want me to say is just use the disk......
