PS3 CCAPI (Control Console API) v2.80 R4 Released as developer Enstone adds 4.83 CFW (CEX) Support

A new update has been released to CCAPI (aka Control Console API) from ps3 developer Enstone to support 4.83 CEX based Custom Firmware. This utility (a ps3 homebrew used with either the PC/Android frontend) serves various purpose such as certain types of game modding, providing a wireless connection from your PS3 to either a PC or Android powered device for transmitting and performing various functions remotely as defined in the release notes provided below.. Additionally 4.83 Custom Firmware / Tools / Apps that have received updates to support 4.83 FW are being listed in this thread from the forums, Take Note that not all Homebrew Apps and Tools need updates to support 4.83 CFW . .

    Installation

    .
    1. Download the CCAPI package
    2. Inside, you should find a folder called PS3 with a .pkg, put it on the root of a usb stick.
    3. Plug the usb stick on your ps3, then install it.
    4. You should also find a folder called PC with a .exe, run it and follow the instructions to install it.
    5. You have now CCAPI installed on your ps3 and on your pc.

    Uninstallation
    .
    • On PS3, you just run the pkg, again
    • On PC, use the configuration panel and the option "uninstall a program".

    • On Android, you can get it from the google play store here
    • On PC, it is installed with the CcApi-setup.exe. (DL @ enstoneworld.com)

I Have a Really Big problem, When i was installing CCAPI, He Said if i want to reboot, And i press Yes, and now my ps3 shows nothing in my tv and it wont shutdown, I press the power button and nothing happens, If i press for too long, it shuts down, but when i power on the console, The same happens, Pls help...

Are you using CFW or HEN? If HEN it specifically tells you not to install CCAPI as it will cause a brickm
 
Well shit, i have HEN, but i alredy hire a mechanic, but thanks anyways.

It can be fixed yourself without any special hardware. Why pay someone to do it? You need to format your HDD and then reinstall OFW from there reinstall HFW and then finally reinstall HEN. Your system is now fixed. Oh you will have to format the HDD with a PC or just use a different one
