PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

Is there a configuration for Crash Bandicoot The Wrath of Cortex? The game number is SLUS202.38, which works well and has a problem of texture flickering.

Could someone please make a Config for SLUS21209 Aka Urban Reign, the problem this game has:

Sometimes requires twice or thrice to restart in order to boot up

The game doesn't load up after sometime you finish the mission and ready to start up the next.

The game instantly freezes everytime when you are about to start the mission, can be avoided by repeatedly pressing X so that it loads up.

The game appears an "unplayable" on PS2 compatibility list for PS3 on wiki

But i just noticed is also "unplayabe" on PS4

Interesting... it could be a common problem

In many games this problem occurs, games run and randomly suspend knowing finding right configuration for one could fix all non-playable titles with this randomization problem.

Every single game have different issue, there is no happy medium config for them.

I looked into this game, and to be honest i have no idea why both PS3, and PS4 can't handle it. While PCSX2 run it since 0.9x releases, or maybe even sooner.

That's strange, so is there no hope to make it playable?

True Crime New York City because of this problem with the control it is unplayable, at the very beginning we enter to the elevator and the player jams and can not do anything.

Hot Shots Golf 3 NTSC-U runs but frame rate is too slow. An audio glitch is present when a song starts (a weird note plays) but not too noticeable.

Delta Force - Black Hawk Down NTSC-U works flawlessly but only tested for a few minutes.

Works Fine

Super Robot Taisen Z [SLPS-25887]
Super Robot Taisen Impact [SLPS-25104]
Super Robot Taisen MX [SLPS-25345]
Super Robot Taisen Alpha 2 [SLPS-25228]
Super Robot Taisen Alpha 3 [SLPS-25537]

Of all PS2 Super Robot Taisen, only Z is officially PS2 Classic (Japan). All games work perfectly, probably because they use the same graphic engine.

Problems

Super Robot Taisen Original Generations [SLPS-25733]
Super Robot Taisen Original Generation Gaiden [SLPS-25836]

The only problems that these games present, is that both the cutscenes and the title menu have sttutering sound. If anyone knows of a config that fixes this problem, I would be very grateful.

I just added the super robot taisen games compatibility here @STRATOS198XAD
http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/index....bility_List&curid=4657&diff=49925&oldid=49902

That games was pubished out of japan btw ?... if not, i guess we can fill the cells of the table for the other regions with a "not available"
Btw, feel free to edit that wiki page, everybody can edit it to add other games or other details

I already edited what you mention along with other things but the following doubts arose.

1.- Is there a rule for games that have different names? Example:

Robot Warlords [Europe] / Velvet File (ヴェルベット) [Japan]
Mega Man X8 [USA & Europe] / Rockman X8 (ロックマンX8) [Japan]

2.- It would be pertinent to list them in a different slot?, or would it be convenient to leave their western name (if it has one) and in the notes to put the Asian name?

3.- Is it convenient to delete the repeated games that were added with different names? Example: Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 / Persona 4

Good question, you hitted in a problem we have about how is organized :)
Personally i prefer to add the western name and asian together in the same line... because is the same game and it simplifyes things (but makes name lines longer though)

See the dragon ball games, i added them together, but at some point someone separated them, and there is more people that posts the games for different regions in separated lines
I dont like it, but sometimes is needed to find an agreement in how is made wiki, so i did not want to discuss this or insist in it because is not a big problem really (and i dont edit that page much, i only review it eventually)

So... dunno what to suggest you, do what you want :P
Sorry for not giving you an straight answer, but i noticed you get used to wiki very fast, and i guess you are going to be a frequent editor, so now your oppinion counts, we can discuss this later, and i guess we should advise to @Roxanne

What i mean with "your oppinon counts" is if there is some detail in how is made the page you consider is annoying or could be improved... and you are going to "work" in that page editing it frequently, then your oppinion is important because you are going to "suffer" that annoyance everytime you edit the page

The oppinion of other people that doesnt edits the page frenquetly (like me) doesnt counts much, i see the problem, but im not going to "suffer" it while working in it because i dont edit that page much
In other words... if the people that edits the page frequenty disagrees with me, then they are right, im not going to disturb them in the way they wants to work

The format of the wiki is quite newbie friendly, I think the wiki has a lot of potential but it definitely has its problems.
Another problem that I saw are the formats in which the games were tested, in the original post they are divided into Official PS2 Classic:

-PS2 Classic PKG
-Custom PS2 Classic Package
-PS2 ISO on Cobra CFW

PS2 Classic PKG & PS2 ISO on Cobra CFW, for my experience in general they have the same performance but with custom PKG it's another story, for example a user tested Bloody Roar 3 as custom PKG and another one in ISO format, the first one reported Slowdown and glitches and the second mentioned that the game worked well, and the only problem that presented was something about an analog. In the wiki only the case of PKG is mentioned.

Is because the list here is "by game format", and the list in wiki is "by emulator type" (to be more exact is for ps2_netemu.self)

The official and custom "PS2 classic" format in PKG passes the controll to netemu, and cobra does the same
The biger difference is the games in PKG format was passing all the correct info to netemu since the first day this method was published (but at that time we did not know how to create custom unencrypted CONFIGS), and if i remember correctly cobra needed some revisions to add some of the features
I dont know the details, but i think nowadays a PS2 ISO in cobra has the same compatibility than a PS2 PKG

Actually PS2 PKG had worst compatibility due to no DVD9 support ;) But now both ways have the same compatibility.

IIrc I split many titles there per region, maybe even DB series.

I did it because there are many Asian users that use wiki list. Not everyone will know that Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! Meteor will be Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 in EU/NA. Similar situation with Naruto Shippuuden: Narutimate Accel, that here is know as Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 4

Slightly different situation is with Fatal Frame series. In EU known as Project Zero, in JP known as Zero. I think here JP and EU can be merged. But i'm still fan of split them.

Anyway, if you wasn't aware even about one of those titles that I described above. Then common JP gamer also can be not aware that his favorite game have different name somewhere in the world.
