PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

It should be noted that Silent Hill 2 also has an issue with some camera angles. Some (if not all) of the fixed camera angle positioning is shifted to the right(?). Some spots are more noticeable than others. The elevator in the otherworld hospital is most noticeable, the camera clips through the right side of the elevator. Even with this and the other problems, the game is still very playable, but maybe this issue can be fixed with an improved accuracy config or something?

Looks like a good idea, maybe the camera position is calculated with some math operation and there is where it fails because is making some rounding in the numbers, removing decimals or things like that

What you could do is to prepare a config to improve accuracy in a big range

case 1 ) if game is very laggy and camera is not fixed.... try in a different range
case 2 ) if game is very laggy and camera is fixed you are in the track !... reduce the range and try again

Not sure how much probabilities there are to win the lottery though

Hi, I've tried both config files for Burnout 3 USA (SLUS21050) but I can't seem to fix the slow gamespeed issue, am I doing something wrong or it hasn't been fixed yet? I'd appreciate any help, thanks.

Console model? By mentioning Slow Gameplay i assume, you are using a NON-BC machine, which the problem still presists.

For that you need to turn off smoothing in order to fix the issue, some games work better with smoothing off, due to the extra RSX task, give it a try :)

Hi. I grabbed the PS2 Classics GUI Program, which comes with tons of Config Files, but my question is this: There are several folders, and sometimes, different Config Files for the same game are in different folders. That said, which folder should I get them out of? These folders are labeled CUSTOM, GX, NET, ORIGINAL, and SOFT. As an example, I wanna play Tekken 4, so where do I get the Config File from? Out of which folder, I mean.

First of all what type of model are you using?

Different PS2 Emu Configs:

Original - PS2Emu.self - CECHA/B (20/60Gb) - Fully Backwards Compatible (This can also be a version without the Cobra Payload)
GX - PS2_GXEmu.self - CECHC/E (60Gb/80Gb) - Partial Backwards Compatible
NET - PS2Net_Emu.self - All Models (Backwards or Non-Backwards) - PS2 Classics/PSN
SOFT - PS2SoftEmu.self - Previous PS2 Emulator for NON-BC Machines, replaced with PS2Net_Emu.self in the newer firmwares

Oh, sorry. It's a Super Slim, NTSC-U, running HAN.

In that case you need the NET folder, i am no expert on Super Slims since i believe the config file has to be inside the PS2 PKG created by the PS2 Classics, on a CFW machine works differently.

Apparently some original PS2 Classics titles from the PSN also have a Config file embedded into the PKG itself, so i dont see the PS2 Classics GUI not to accept Config Files.

Just remember,in order for the config file to work, it must match the title ID for the PS2 Title that you intend to config the emulator for, ex: GAME - SLUS-XXXX1/CONFIG - SLUS-XXXX1, in other words the Config file must be the same ID and the same region as the game,or else it wont work.
