PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

I confirm it limits the frame rate to 25 fps. Now the beginning at the Solde's port is way smoother. No extensive testing though, but I haven't noticed anything strange during the battle. But there is a popping sound during the Last Forest part (original dump manifests the same issue). The ISO was patched by your code and the GameGuard's disabler entries only.
who can trans a jap version patch?thx first!

@vus7294 In fact, all of the shmups listed after Ibara are tested as working, including Gradius V and Castle Shikigami (official ps2 classic). I can confirm that Arcana Heart 1 & 2 do not work and will probably never work...same issue as the Melty Blood games and no idea where the problem stems from.

I Tried All of then with ISO Encrypt without Any Config I Don't know How to Apply. Not Working Lists are Even not Boot, just Crashed to XMB.

Dialogues are tied to the frame rate though. It is annoying, since you cannot skip them and you have to wait the lines show up.

it's for pcsx2 or ps3?

Tested on the PS3, but it should work on the PCSX2 also. Although as I have written before, the frame rate cap does impact the gameplay.

Kudos for the precission when using net command 0x10 :encouragement:
I guess if there are other problems in other chapters of the game most probably is going to be posible to fix them with the same method

Btw, this game was another "most wanted", there was many talks in the forum about it, im going to advise @chicco33 because he was vey interested in it, he has not visited the forum latelly, but anyway

Im here :) Its a great job @mrjaredbeta Keep up the good work!

Shadow Hearts (SLUS-20347)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 34 12 00 00 0E 00 00 00 3C C6 21 00
00 00 00 00
Fix lottery hang. Another gxemu bug fixed! Referenced from here: https://en.everybodywiki.com/List_of_PlayStation_2_games_compatible_with_PlayStation_3#S

I'll see if there's a way to fix Shadow Hearts 2 and 3 freezes from analog control. Maybe 0x50?

Shadow Hearts 2 and 3.

Example
Using Official PS4 Controller on Open PS2 Loader on PS2 you will have the "Diagnol Walk Bug, pressing up and left will stop the character from moving.................for Shadow Hearts 3 and Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2.

Report #1
Using a Cloned PS2 Controller, not a official ps4 controller on open ps2 loader, fixes the "Diagnol Walk Bug"

Report #1
Using a Cloned PS3 Controller for Shadow Hearts 2 and, Shadow Hearts 3 (pal 50/60) Version, doesn't seem to crash game, as a result of using the analog stick
................
................
Game Protections are very hard to identify, I don't think there is technically a problem to fix for Shadow hearts 2 and 3.............the programmed range of the analog sticks triggers the protection for the official controllers.

*joined to say thanks for the fix

If you have some free time try to do an "speed run" and report back to @mrjaredbeta i dont know how long is the game but you know the game well and i guess you can complete it fast
Only the main missions, ignore the minigames, side missions, collectibles, etc...
The goal is to see if there is something critical broken in the main missions (the kind of problem that doesnt allows to complete the game)

@psalmsamuel Oh, I see. It probably is some sort of game protection. In that case, there is a possibility of it being disabled. I need to do more testing with SH2 because the "freeze" happened only once in my little amount of testing. It seemed like the game's visuals froze while the audio was still running.

Anyways, welcome to the forums! I see you posting a lot about ps2 on ps3 widescreen patches on pcsx2 forums. Glad to see you here!

@chicco33 @sandungas Yes, a quick speedrun would be great. I have only tested the chapter 3 "escape from the funeral" and the chapter 7 "vs mysterious gang" freezes. Both are fixed, but it could be possible that another isn't.

Silent Hill 2 (SLUS-20228GH)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 34 12 00 00 0E 00 00 00 B4 53 17 00
0F 00 00 00 14 5D 17 00 34 5D 17 00 00 00 00 00
Sorry for posting so many SH2 configs... I updated the last config with better accuracy range for the 3d geometry rendering. I haven't tested heavily, but it should fix the other minor problems it had left (like Maria's arm flickering in her side story, Laura's flickering, and some additional James flickers).

Very weird though, cause I had to mess around/test and see which parts of the function to make more accurate...making the whole function range accurate still had some geometry flickers (James' arm, torso) that weren't present before... Had to see which part to make accurate and which ones to not mess with. Will eventually play through the entire game sometime to make sure, but this should be the final SH2 config. :)

I'll also port this to the other versions sometime when I get the chance.

Hi, thanks for all your new codes!
I tried SH2 yesterday, but just right at the start outside the restroom, the leg was still disappearing. Is the flickering supposed to be gone for good, or did I do something wrong? I started the debug menu and it was reporting a config file revision, so I suppose the config was loaded?!

That bug should definitely be gone for good. Are you using the greatest hits (director's cut) version? The config is currently only for that version.

Anyone possibly able to fix the flickering on Champions: Return to Arms? It is reduced with the config but the map still stutters in places and the game seems to flash a sort of screencap of earlier frames every few seconds.
