You can resign save using Bruteforce Save Data from ps3tools instead of using fso.

Btw There is no point staying on 4.81 now, 4.82 DEX files are available and that was the only reason to stay on 4.81

No its safe to restore however you want, only dev_flash has been modified, so your ps3 is not really DEX.

dex to cex cfw wouldn't brick it either. one of two things should happen: the update install errors out which should happen while the update is being cached or a message will pop up saying that the update is incompatible with this system. I remember the latter from when I attempted it while on dex back on 3.55 when it was thought to be a one-way street.

He does seem to know fk all considering he's meant to be a well known ps3 modder for years.. He's never heard of debug settings, doesn't know what CEX/DEX is etc..
