Is not related with an specific firmware version, it happened in previous firmwares too
Sorry for not giving much more explains, but my english is not good enought and i had enought in the other thread, aldo knows about it time ago you can ask him

Or if you want to hear an impartial oppinion you can ask joonie if the bug exists, he was testing it the other day and he said im right, his console overheated

I meant Habib's IRISMAN release!! that he released with his 4.70 FW (that he apparently fixed BD Mirror) just wondering if Habib had fixed the bug that you are mentioning

What is happenning is now the people that previouslly was in a "cobra + webman" firmware they was using the fancontrol from webman, and now with the new 4.70 without webman some are returning to the fancontroll from irisman/gamesonic/etc.. and some of them (not all) are using the "payload" controlfan mode, these ones are who are reporting overheat problems. But is not related with the firmware
After i posted the bug report and the discussion/missunderstanding i prefered to dont continue with the argumenting because i thought people (the final users that never had a warning about this problem) will realize about the problem soon or later... but im looking at forums and it looks is going to be sooner than later

sandungas can't answer your question due according to himself, he does not use IRISMAN. But, according to a Joonie's report, that bug should be fixed in Habib's IRISMAN release...

Indeed Joonie fixed it and the fix was already implemented in the source code used by Habib.

Apparently Call of Duty Ghost format folder, it does not work from Ext, will be int. ( in iso from internal works. )
The games that give black screen, ALL work, converting them to ISO. Using MAMBA.
This was tested with payloads HABIB, while other games that were not before, now work correctly.

The problem is not in your firmware, see my bug report about irisman ---> http://www.psx-place.com/forum/ps3-...upport-aldostools-1373-post8617.html#post8617

In fact the problem was too weird.

And is something hard to notice... the only way to realize what is happening is based in the fan noise, and only if you are used to the "normal" noise of the fan of your console
I mean... after getting out of the manager and starting playing a game... you will notice your fan is not making noise and you will think... "wtf?... something rare is happening with the fan"
But this is only the people used to his fan noise, others with TV volume at max, headsets, etc maybe will not notice it and will have a YLOD

Edit:
And btw... for the people that maybe thinks im an alarmist when i mention a YLOD, lets make an innacurate scenario:
-ambient temperature 30Âş, ps3 starts from ambient, do this sequence as faster as posible

-turn on ps3 <---- 8 seconds to reach xmb
-enter manager <----- 10 seconds
-select game, return to xmb, and boot game <--- 5 seconds

Now we are inside the game, but the fan will rotate permanently at the speed associated with the temperature when we went out of the manager
This speed is veeeeery slow, because the temperature when we went out of the manager could be like 50Âş or even smaller (we started on 30Âş and the console has been turned on only 23 seconds)
