so is it harmful??

No, I was joking it looked like tools for splitting pkgs, but could just be virus's named "PKG_splitter.exe" etc. Also a hantool.exe.

I cannot agree. Explorer.exe could be a target because it processing the informations from headers based on few specific extensions. In the past there are several attacks using i.e TIFF, thumbs.db and TTF.

True, im not sure if viewing exes can cause be enough to initiate a virus though, but I suppose you never know what is in next folder, could be a tiff there. I only viewed them in WinRAR window.

Archivers often unpacked archives to temp to view it's content. I'm not sure if WinRAR doing it because I don't using it, but i.e 7-Zip yes.
