How can I identify a japanese PS3?

I have a FAT PS3 of 60 GB (CECHA01) bought on ebay (the model it's probably from the US but I'm not really sure)

Is there a way to know if the console is japanese or american?

maybe the confirm button if it hasn't been hacked. it will be circle instead of cross.

01 = USA
00 = Japan

Also you can check where console was manufactured, there should be SJZ on sticker if is produced in Sony Japan, other options are fox = foxconn, and mtk = Maintek/Asustek.

I can confirm that cecha01 is us and cecha00 is jp. I own several jp consoles. The serial is easiest to tell. Plus it will have edy viewer if jp console.
