you can make a coldboot with my tutorial. you need to convert to dds, then to gtf. then, hex in the image of both that size and sd (240x120) as well as a blur file of each header.

you'll be editing an existing one.

the worst that could happen is a soft brick, but I'm not sure if it would even do that. the coldboot just might not appear.

I'm glad you liked it. I tested it first to make sure it worked and to see how it looked. it looks close in size to the original coldboot. the original coldboot is closer to a colored coldboot though, since it doesn't fade in and is not translucent. making a colored coldboot of it to where it wouldn't move would be difficult. you could easily make the coldboot image, but the script is the problem. normally, a colored coldboot will move into a specified position, then move to the point you want, then to a secondary position (if you have one). you can prevent it from moving by having the start and end points the same. however, it will still move into its default position first.

Thank you again Pinky!

Currently its installed on my CECH-2504B Slim model, but hopefully ill try to restore my CECH01 "60Gb",since it has YLOD and broken USB Trace from the previous owner :/

Sitting around a year gathering dust, but once restored to full operational order, this coldboot will look very neat, the 2007 memories :´)

I feel for you man. my first xbox 360 got rrod. I had put a ghost shell, led lights, and some new fans on it. the fans didn't seem to help either. I now own three 360s - one with a hacked optical drive (jasper) and two jtags (falcon). this is in case something happens. though, I did play to sell one of the jtags, but then rgh happened. lol I have two 3ds (one old 3ds with a skin on it and one Majora's Mask new 3ds), and two of the 32 GB Wii U's when you needed 5.3.2 to run homebrew and backups which were very few for me since almost every game I owned (seventy-six of them in fact) were digital buys. now,, that system is just a backup in case something happens to my main system. I have both plugged in at the same time. the 360s are all put away. all except for one jtag. ;)

True... yeah i might buy a COK-001 Board the US Version due to the EE/GS Chip on it,the one i have its the European one,ad we only had the GS,but i dont bother much, cuz my SCPH-39004 PS2 still works like a champ since 2002, tough as nails that console, with some Component Cables runs good :D

my ps2's laser finally bit the dust in January, probably due to nonuse. I've since replaced it. ps2 games load very fast. psx games load about the same as they did originally which is definitely slower than ps2 games. I don't play it often now since I need a framemeister to play psx games. my tv doesn't support 240p for older consoles. I usually play psx games on it. there are a lot of great shumps like cotton on the system. I usually play my wii u for its platformers. yoshi's wooly world is just adorable. I like rpgs and adventure games as well, but I haven't played one in ages. I do own tales of zestiria and star ocean 5 for the ps4. trials is the first game I bought for the system since I had played the series before on the 360. the crashes are hilarious. they're up there with burnout's. :-P

Yeah...i know aint the quite of equipment to use, although the best for retro use its the Sony PVMs,which many people claim to be one if the best CRT Monitors on the marker, but as a casual user of PS1 and PS2, i still have an old CRT laying around, gets the job done, and throwback of some fun memories in Gran Turismo 3 in Summer 2003 :)

I feel old hahahahah :P

Hello guys! i have ps3 fat 60gb model with cfw Rebug 4.82.2 Cobra 7.55 lite.
i tried to install the zip file with the correct name on multiman fil browser (PS3~dev_flash~vsh.zip).
it ask me if i want to install, i say yes, then he show me the content of the zip file, but it doesnt work.
restarted the ps3 and tried, no gameboot logo.
Also i have a question, how to restore the PS3 (new one) coldboot logo instead of the Rebug one?
Thank you!

I think youve done a mistake

Its suppose to be a file called Coldboot.raf, that goes to HDD0/dev_blind/vsh/coldboot.raf, via Multiman or FTP, but you have to allow the Multiman to modify the Dev_Blind Partition, simply scrooling the 2nd option, all the way down till you get to Allow Dev_Blind Modifications (or something).

There is no ZIP file that goes into the Dev_Blind folder

I couldnt extract the PS3Updat.PUP file to get a hold of the Original PS3 Coldboot, however, ill leave this PS3 Extra XMB Collection ISO, that contains the Original PS3 Post 3.00 Coldboot.

Just copy it to your HDD via Multiman and mount it like a normal game, and the PS3 Coldboot should be there to install ;)

Hope it helps ;)

Transfer the ISO, like you would normally transfer a game via Multiman, mount the ISO in Multiman, this will bring you back to the XMB, you should see the BD-Disc mounted, click on it, and it will open a new Window in the XMB, once that, you will see the Coldboots, scrool down into the Coldboot Section, till you see two Coldboots (Named PS3 Original and Rebug, i think), chose the PS3 original, and it will prompt you to install, select yes, and your all set ;)
