PS3 How to go from Ferrox 4.82 to Rebug 4.81?

try with full restore via recovery menu, install QA toggler that chris provided, reboot, try,if again shows corrupted message reboot, run qa tool again, reboot and try again.

if again fails, flash overflow 4.82 cobra and then try,i downgraded from overflow to latest rebug.

and don't forget to do full restore after flashing.if you're using webman and you used it on ferrox 4.82 i think you might going to need to reflash rebug again to fully remove previous webman version.

i was flasing cfw's on top of one another for some time now and i got all sorts of trouble trying to run backups via webman.and if you're going to use webman stick to integrated version (enable it via rebugtools) and use prepntfs 1.17 not latest version.

now, after a very long time i have ps1,ps2 and ps3 backups working at the same time and i can launch it straight via xmb.

Hey Habib's toggler did the trick! I just ran it, restarted like Umart said, and now I have Rebug! Thanks so much. This tool should definitely be linked to more. Could not get the other to work at all.Thank you everyone for helping me get this sorted.

Dunno wtf i did was having same issues above ..tried both qa toggles nothing wa trying to do the button combo for qa then it started sayiing cannot read system storage ..restarted console and installed 4.75 noissue this time .

Make sure lvl2 peek an poke sycals arent disabled ...i put webman mod on and uncheck it all and that seem to fix my issue

For some reason rebug wouldn't install from USB for me, but I enabled debug update and copied to HDD --> success!

I didn't check md5 after copying to USB thumb drive tbh  might have been a bad copy/thumb drive :hopelessness:

Hello guys.
I think i have brick my ps3.
I have my ps3 successfull flashed on 4.82 ferrox. Then i wanted Flash the 4.81 rebug. At this Moment i dont know that i have toggleQA bevor i Flash the 4.81 rebug. I have flashed the 4.81 rebug whitout toggleQA and it Stocks at 99% at update. After 2 hours i shut down my ps3 manualy. Now i have when i push the Power Button a black tv screen. When i startet to recovery i have a black screen too. Can everyone help me? I down know what i have to do. Buy new ps3 or format the HDD? Thanks

Also a good idea, flash ferrox 4.82 twice is like doing a full format. I had the same problem but i flashed twice and it did the trick, QA flag is already on in the standard ferrox version.

in my experience only scenario when reflashing is needed is when switching to cfw with integrated webman.that is only way to remove higher version of webman and going to integrated version.

not entirely sure here. I believe the update is moved from the flash drive to dev_hdd1 where it's decrypted. that partition is 2GBs and is formatted as fat32 just like the flash drive.

If it helps I used "toggle_qa.pkg". I forget where I found it.

MD5: fb11bec5a0dde6600baee0cc36742d54

brewology, habbib's version works perfectly for downgrading from 4.82 cfw to rebug.but you can use pached version from main thread to flash rebug directly after exploit.

just install rebug toolbox and toggle QA on after to never worry about this again.

I'm stuck :( Used all the QA Togglers here and i am currently on CEX Ferrox+COBRA 4.82. Stuck on a black screen and it will not return to the XMB. When i tried usb installing it gave me "corrupt data" after reboot

try flashing this directly:

Rebug 4.81.2 w/4.82 syscon patched: Rebug 4.81.2 REX 4.82Syscon Thibobo.PUP
MD5: BEABB70067E56DAFCFAE466E1218C1C2

eliminates the need for QA Flagging

Use this directly after exploiting 4.82 OFW

If you are OCD like me, then install the normal Rebug 4.81.2 over this one after successfully installed

after that,if you want you could toggle QA in rebug tools and flash again regular rebug rex.but do full restore from recovery.
