How to install NoBD CFW on OFW 4.65 with broken blue ray.

I didn't know that, i thought that the only way is with cobra. Ok, anyway i still need good connector... When i got new BD i will be sure if i improvised connector successfully. If i got it, a drive don't have to be married to the board for a succesfull firmware install?

No you wont need the connector to work at all, you can just downgrade to 3.55, the 3.55 rogero downgrader pup is already patched for noBD . So all you need to do is get to 3.55 and you are sorted. play all your games from hdd etc. no need for cobra or a working connector.

All you need is someone with teensy to get you to rogero 3.55 or any noBD patched fw.
 
Ok i found someone who will downgrade with teensy for 30$ I will sent him console tomorrow. But i heard that some games even after that requires some original disc in blu ray to be able to play? What is with that? Is there some list of games who require some original disc or there is a way to bypass that too?

No need for original discs once you are on CFW...

I know but i heard some consoles even with CFW for some games require any original disc to be inseret in blu ray to be able to play. For example someone with CFW want to play GTA V and he need to inseret original FIFA 15 disc to be able to run GTA V. THis is just example

Im not 100% sure on that, mine all work using Rebug CFW with cobra enabled but its possible there are some that don't. Problems get solved all the time so you need to make sure you have up to date info. not having a BD drive used to be a big problem, but not so much anymore.

I think the only thing you wont be able to do is QA flag but I could be wrong.

Maybe someone else will answer you here with the latest on no BD use.
 
You can set QA flag on any 4.XX CFW thanks to Habib now. Also use Cobra and all games run without a disc. Standard CFW's sometimes need a disc but a Cobra NoBD will load all games just fine for you, only game that I know has any issues on NoBD Cobra is God of War III but will still launch disclose you just have to load from app_home instead of the disc icon. But this only pertains to JB folders. Just convert all games to ISO mount with a manager or webMAN from ISO no issues.
 
OMG i bought PS3 only because of God of War 3 if i wont be able to play GOW 3 then i will smash this console :D Anyway i wont have Cobra, it will be downgraded with Teensy 2.0 and then i will install some NoBD CFW Ferox, Rebug or something.
 
Ok i have now downgraded to 3.55 and installed FEROXX 4.7 noBD firmware. I just finished playing Uncharted 1, but with Uncharted 2 i have infinity loading with dager spining in down right corner. And for the god of war 3, that guy who downgraded my ps3 told me that he couldnt launch gow3 without disc. So which noBD CFW will be best to install in my case to play all games without discs? atreyu187 mention NoBD Cobra, does that mean Cobra like hardware or cobra like software?
 
infinite loading usually means incomplete or corrupted files. rerip the game to see if it happens again. I think some games have a toc as well which is y I believe [MENTION=89]aldostools[/MENTION] ' ripping app creates files with the same name and 0 bytes.
 
Can someone tell me exactly wich version of firmrware Habib NoBD Cobra should i install to be able to play GoW3?
BTW i fixed that problem with infinity loading by transfering again game to external hdd.
Anyway i am little confused by the version of CFW. Right now i have Ferrox 4.76 NOBD. Is it possible with some tool to play on this cfw gow3 discless or i need to change cfw to cobra...habib or whatever i still don't understand that part
