odd that it says xbox 360 controllers (official) work wirelessly. it doesn't use bluetooth. those controllers use radio frequencies. I'm not sure if wireless includes controllers that need an adapter.

This is an old thread, (actually created with our old software, so those download links do not work).

I will update this post to give the new DL's .

You need the PC adaptor to make it work wireless ;)
I've tried it, was working well :)
Xb1 only wired, but also working well :)

it's due to lack of an rf receiver in the ps3. the rf board for the phat 360 (don't have a slim) is where the ring of light is. it's a pretty small board with three black, torx screws. I do have an adapter, but the dpad for the 360 controller is horrible. I have one of those adjustable dpad controllers as well, but I've had to replace the dpad from chrome, to gold, to blue, to red/orange since it always develops these hairline cracks, then just falls off. what a pos dpad. :-P
 
Hello! I got an issue with my DualShock 4 v2 (the one with light in the touchpad) using the latest ps3xpad plugin, the system simply can't recognize the DS4, I tried with a wired 360 controller and works fine (without rumble, but work every button) But my DS4 simply doesn't work, I tried to add the ID of the DS4 in the xpad_devices like this:

0x054c, 0x09CC, Sony Playstation DualShock 4, PTYPE_PS4

The first version of the DS4 controller included by default is like this:

0x054c, 0x05C4, Sony Playstation DualShock 4, PTYPE_PS4

But isn't work... only as a generic device by the system itself, any idea?

Maybe needs to be updated, sorry i never used this plugin since my ps4 controller is not at my home, so i cant test either

Sadly seems work has all but stopped a long time ago. I would say just get a 360 wireless controller as well as a PC wireless receiver and connect them up. It works alright for me, although sometimes the damn controller receiver looses connection and is not recognized with COD games during multiplayer, yet in all COD games it works fine for singleplayer.

Not sure as to why that is, can anybody here shed any light on why this could be?
 
Hmm I noticed you didnt add Xbox one elite controller to the devices So i did and it works great on SSX being the first game ive ever tried on my new ps3

Yo could you please update this to work with the new ds4 gen 2 controller (the one with the light bar line on the top of the touch pad) I've added the id's to the settings file and it doesn't detect it acts as if I don't even have the sprx installed utilizing only the standard ds4 support, no ps button :( my ds4 gen 1 without the light on top worked great, but I broke it and only have the gen 2 now, this is the best mod yet for ps3 cuz it allows yu to use ds4 with ps2 games and the games that don't support ds4 (gta v and rdr) I would really appreciate the support for gen 2 ds4 controllers as I don't wanna risk buying a fake ds3 controller I only got the gen 2 ds4 it's my only option, miss the ps2 games :c anyways this mod is perfect it did just what I wanted when I had a ds4 gen 1. ;( please help.
 
I tried adding my 0x045e, 0x02A2, Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel, XTYPE_XBOX360W the Receiver picks the controller up but i never get any kind of inputs any ideas?

I was wondering if the source code for v0.8 is available somewhere?
I see 0.4 has it included in the download but I imagine its changed a bit since then.

I'm hoping I can somehow extend this to support the steam controller since my PS3 controllers are wrecked.
 
can someone help me, I started the plugin via webman and it worked, but when I configure it to start with the hen, the console freezes and flashes green and yellow on the power button, I have PS3 Hen
