PS3 Is my PS3 jailbreakable?

hi today i am buying new ps3 from seller i got that its CECH 2504B model slim. I want to know if its possible to jailbreak this model and install package installer. Thanks
 
You can do hen for sure. Cfw you won't know until you check the date code of the console and run minverck pup from usb like an update file. It will spit an error back and tell you the minimum firmware version of your console.

To be 100% sure you need to run MinVerChk to check your PS3's factory firmware.

It needs to be 3.56 or under in order for it to be compatible with CFW. If it's 3.60 or higher then it isn't compatible with CFW and you'll need to use PS3HEN instead otherwise you'll brick your console when using the flash writer tool.
 
Go to our resources section and download minverchk. It will tell you what your consoles minimum firmware version is that it left the factory with. If it's 3.56 or below you can install cfw on it. If it's 3.60 then you can use the homebrew enabler or hen as we call it. You have to do minverchk before you preoceed any farther and report back the results here. You can then be guided on what to do next.

OK is there any guide on how to jailbreak it? or anything? There is plenty of videos on Youtube but i would rather find writen guide instead of fast talking guy on youtube. And also my question is will i be able to play retail games on disc after Jailbreaking my PS3?

See this guide written by the PS3Xploit team. Your slim is a NOR console, so ignore the NAND version of the flash writer altogether. Follow all the steps carefully, read thoroughly and re-read if necessary, and most importantly take it slowly one step at a time. If there's anything you're unsure of, report back to avoid any issues on your end.

You're welcome. Yes, all standard retail features are intact on CFW. You'll also be able to make ISO backups of your game discs, to save wear and tear on the disc itself as well as the console's BD drive. This is but one of many great features that CFW affords.
 
i did that once via System update then i turn off my PS3 hopped into Recovery mode and now installing in recovery mode. So i am fine? i dont need to do recovery mode twice right?
 
OK i checked my Patched dump using PS3checker and it returned 1 warning is it any problem?
