Sooo... I made a Backup of my AC4: Black Flag disc (USA one) and works perfect with both Multiman and ManaGunz, but tried the same with AC3 and AC2 (both are USA too) discs and idk if somethings wrong with the rips but when I mount then and try to play, I get ejected to the XMB with no Error code or anything... any ideas why?

In the assassin's creeds (dont remember if some or all them) in JB format you need to create manually (with a filemanager of FTP) an empty folder named: PS3_GAME/USRDIR/ASSASSIN_ISO

*And as far i remember the folder is not needed if you convert the game to ISO, we was talking about it here:

Hi, so I updated to 4.85 HFW and updated Managunz to 1.36 and now the system crashes every time I press triangle to enter game settings or when I press the cross to mount it. My system is a 12 GB SuperSlim with a 250GB HDD. I tried using Managunz 1.35J and I had the same results (on my other SuperSlim works flawlessly) so I don't really know what could have gone wrong. If there's any way to get logs or something I could do it to track down my issue, any help is appreciated, thanks!

Install v1.37 https://github.com/Zarh/ManaGunZ/releases

But before that i suggest to uninstall v1.36... just incase you have some problem in the managunz settings files

Oh nice, I didn't know 1.37 was out.
But I have my doubts about Managunz settings as I uninstalled 1.36 to install 1.35 and my settings stayed and it was weird.
But well, later today I'll try 1.37 and see, thanks @sandungas !

I mean as a general rule, it could be applyed to all the homebrew games or apps that stores some settings
The point is there are some versions of the programs where are added new features, and that features needs to save some setting in a file that is used as the global settings of the program

When you install a new version of the program in PS3 you are overwriting most of the files, but not the settings
So at the next boot the program needs to "import" the settings from the old settings file... then create a new settings file (with the settings added for the new features)
That process of "importing" the settings from an old version of the program could fail, or there could be some kind of conflicts in between old versions of the settings file and the new one

The easyest way to prevent that is to uninstall the program (with triangle in the XMB) before installing the new version
This assures you the new installation is perfectly made :)

Is not usual to happen, but well... it could happen
Incase of problems this is one on the things good to do justincase™

Yes, the weird thing is that I removed Managunz before installing the other version but still the settings stayed and I couldn't find any other folder apart from the Managunz installation folder that could store those settings. That's why it was so weird to me that after uninstalling and then downgrading, the settings persisted.

Which settings persisted ?

Right now the only thing i could imagine that could be conflictive is the feature to "create shorcut PKG"
This created a PKG containing files from the managunz version used to create the PKG
Basically... it was copying most of the managunz installation files to the PKG... so it was like having multiple installations of managunz

Managunz general settings (themes and that stuff) and game settings, those were the ones that persisted. Really weird as I never had this happen to me before on my other PS3. Regarding the crashes, I first thought it was a bad HEN installation but I reinstalled twice and tried other homebrew successfully so I don't really know what's the issue.

Well, all that is sored in dev_hdd0/game/MANAGUNZ0 and it should be lost when you uninstall it in XMB with triangle button
Not sure what happened to you, but if what you are saying ir right i guess the files was not really deleted

So I made sure I deleted every folder and installed 1.37 and it worked flawlessly. Reading the release notes on github I realised it said "Add : Support the firmware 4.85C.". I guess this is support for 4.85 CEX, maybe my newer firmware was the issue when using older releases. Thanks fot the help.
