PS3 NoPSN Apps

When do you get the server error? On application launch? On signing in? On stream opening?

the error occurs a few seconds after running netflix not psn. Netflix out the logo on the screen. Then comes the circle spinning. Then you get an error number and can not connect.
Look in settings and places that have internet but netflix servers no connection.
 
So it works in some countries & not in others.. Hmmm...
If ever the restriction was location based, could someone try using a proxy? US or French proxy?
Or use a PC as proxy & connect the PC to a VPN..?
I would not bet on it but who knows it might work....

And if you put a new cfw could be solved? I'm at 4.78.
2.23 netflix wanted to try and put the psn not spoof 2.26.
But I find the 2.23

Changing cfw should make no difference for nopsn Netflix usage.
Even though fundamentally, there's no point staying on 4.78, all essential brews have been updated to work with 4.80 by now.
You should update to 4.80 unless you have a very good reason to keep 4.78.

I did not understand what you meant about Netflix 2.23...?? Can you clarify?

Is it possible for someone to make the EU netflix no psn to test if that fixes it?

This is the eu pkg I have a link for.
Obviously it's not spoofed!
Am not sure what version it is though & I don't have access to a pc right now.
Someone could check it though.

You want to install the 2.23 pkg & then try to spoof?
Even if it were possible what would be the difference between doing that and installing the spoofed pkg?

looking up version. is that the appiniversion? I've never used the netflix app or looked at its cfg.

edit: appiniversion says 1.2 anyway.

I installed the apk. The version is 2.17.
 
well, I need @bitsbubba to show me where the version number is located. I found the way to bypass psn through the app.sprx. change from true to false. :p
 
The error is this.
Error connecting to netflix.
ui-800-3 code
I enter more information.
I check my network.
Server 1 netflix ok
Server 2 netflix ko
Server 3 netflix ko
server net 1 ok.

And not connect.
 
Strange that server 1 or ok while the rest isn't...
Has anyone tried a proxy yet?

Tried to make a NoPSN app of Vue which is Son'y cable cutter app (which is simply amazing!!) but alas I had no luck getting it to boot. @bitsbubba can you take a look at this app?

The edits haven't been working on the latest that's why we've been spoofing 2.19 to latest, maybe the finally changed thing over of a he server side as with hulu

Edit: version number has always been in param for me I've never change it anywhere else

that's odd, 'cause the app version says 1.04. I'm not sure where the version 2.19 or whatever comes from. I thought it was in app.sprx, but I couldn't find it.

As @bitsbubba said, for spoofing he only changed the param.sfo & never touched other files.

The funny thing is until today I had installed Netflix spoofed to 2.25. On start, it tells me that there is a new version (2.26) but if I cancel the update, I go back to the main page & am able to login.... Despite not having the latest version?
Anyway I unpacked the pkg, changed the version in param.sfo to 2.26. Repacked & installed it. Now it works fine with no update message! [emoji5]️

Also, I checked the EU pkg & it seems totally different. The one I linked in previous post is 1.04 so it's an old release.
The most recent version is 1.13.
Both old & new version appear to be relying on QT?
There is a QT sprx file which arouses my curiosity actually... I wonder whether it could be reused in a homebrew, I must investigate...
Anyway I already patched app.sprx so tonight I will repack the app correctly & test it.
If it works I shall post a download link for users experiencing the server issue so they can test it. [emoji6]
