PS3 NoPSN Apps

Usually don't need the nopsn patch because i just set my np environment to invalid.

EDIT: nw-4-7 error on servers 2 and 3. Server 1 is ok, internet connection is also ok.

@glecon

Ok I patched & spoofed for 2.26 both the Netflix US 2.16 pkg you sent and a Netflix 2.17 pkg.
Both of them give me server connection errors.
Sorry.

The US 2.23 (spoofed) that I was still using successfully last week now gives me server errors too.
I guess Netflix has finished updating all their servers (or most of them).
atm the only version of Netflix that works for me is EU 1.04.

I dont understand why some can still use it, and others dont...
I dont think is the country, because I tried to use a VPN service to emulate US DNS, but still got the servers down. Well, really apreciate you could release he EU version, that might be the solution for now. I think more people will start to use that app.

Do you get constant freeze, or is it casual random on your case?

For me, the freeze is constant. I can barely get through a 45 minute episode (rarely do, freezes sometime in between). I've resorted to watching netflix on my TV. One drawback of that is the fact that my TV netflix app doesn't support DD5.1 and is a little inconvenient.

VPN is not guaranteed to work at all here. It depends on how sophisticated the region protection is.
For example, the BBC, well known for hassling every user not physically in the UK has implemented a region check preventing both VPN and proxy users to circumvent the access restrictions.
Recently a handful of VPN services have adapted to the situation & offer BBC access to a premium of course (leeches).
I don't know how Netflix operates but it seems to me that the change happened gradually as if they were rolling out new server policies. If I am right, bit by bit most users would have had their noPSN app not working.
The EU 1.04 probably still works because the type of check was not yet implemented in the app.
It's very possible that a US version previous to 2.16 would work in the same fashion...

With EU 1.04, the freezes are casual random for me.... As I said before, sometimes I can watch a 2h movie without freeze , sometimes I get a freeze in the middle....Nothing more than that, it's annoying enough...

Just restarted my ps3 twice in the last 10 minutes. Trying different network methods. So far, i've tried wireless with two networks, and wired (client bridge from my main), seems to make no difference so far.

EDIT: 3 in the last 15 minutes.

Have you tried a package prior to 2.16?

I believe the earliest I tried was 2.13...but I can't remember for sure now.
But am willing to give an older US release a go, if you have one laying around, send it on...

I might suggest everyone say what firmware they're on. not sure if it would have anything to do with it, but I have a hunch. could it be the encryption coupled with the firmware. for example, the ps vita upgraded its encryption method with 3.60 which google was using while also dropping lower encryption methods (i.e. not being able to connect). it could be that netflix has done the same, but lower firmware versions r not able to use the new encryption of netflix. after all, u have to spoof lower versions to make it work. that would be one way to eliminate banned users. the question then becomes, does an unmodified, psn-access version work for any of u unbanned and on the latest firmware. as I've said, it's just a theory.

Well I'm trying to use this EU 1.04/1.13 spoof version of yours, but here I'm also having freeze-ups occasionally. I tried to watch Nemo and it froze every 20 minutes of play, everytime, but when I got Grey's Anatomy, it did not freeze for 5 episodes, after I stopped playing. Strange, so ...
I have this Netflix 2.26 pkg unchanged extracted from my PS3 to test, I don't know if it helps, but if you'd be so kind... :D
