PS3 NoPSN Apps

Otherwise extract the YT 2.03 pkg with Aldo's ps3 tools collection, edit the param.sfo then recreate the pkg.
All these operations can be done from the context menu (right click on file or on folder) to get the PKG options...
 
Regarding Netflix, any progress? I took a quick amateur look and I'm even more confused than I was prior to looking. Changing to PSNLoginRequired to false does nothing, and I don't know if this http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/PSN#Patching_the_PSN_Ingame_Login_Message_Dialog might be useful.

What I did notice with the newest EU version (which I tested everything on) was;
* Resigning in TrueAncestor which works fine on the old EU ver results in 0x80010009 error in crash#.log and requires a cold reboot.
* Resigning all files to 3.40 (or maybe it was 3.44) results in crash during "BrowserStart starting".

Either I fail miserably at resigning the files or there has been new checks introduced.

I don't know what you did wrong but I already patched the last EU Netflix 1.13.
It doesn't crash at all.
But I already explained that EU 1.13 was a no go. At least for now..

The situation changed with 1.13.
I never got to test the Netflix servers situation because the patch doesn't even get rid of the PSN sign-in screen anymore which means that the PSN requirement doesn't rely solely (or at all) on that boolean (true/false) parameter anymore.

I have not yet had time to look for a new patch that works on 1.13. It's likely that a new patch will not be as easy to find as the last one...

It's no big deal, just installing a pkg, changing a couple of settings & testing if streaming still freezes..

If you are report your findings after doing the following:

1. Download this file https://www.mediafire.com/download/q8z4hw3abfizbp3
2. Install this official unpatched/unspoofed pkg of Netflix EU 1.04.
3. Go to Debug Settings. Change the environment type from np to invalid.
4. Reboot
5. For peace of mind, you can check that the debug setting from step #3 is still 'invalid'.
Launch Netflix, when it asks to to sign in PSN, say yes. Of course it will fail & give you an error message. Close with circle button.
Sometimes it asks to sign in twice, if it does, do it again.
Eventually the sign in process will end & you get to the login page.
6. Test the Netflix streaming for freezes!
7. When you have finished your tests, remember to set your environment type to np in the debug settings.

I've used this method in Europe on EU PS3, here is my report!
I didn't get any freeze for now. I only watch a 1h30 movie and a lot of anime episodes. The only annoying problem is that I have to disconnect and reconnect from netflix every time I reboot the PS3. If I don't, the video loading block at 25% and netflix show the message "this video can't load, try another one" (something like that but my app is in french).

Am testing a couple of ideas...

Could someone try this tweaked release of Netflix EU 1.04 & tell me if you still get the same freezes or movie stuck after a while?
Any improvements at all?

What about with a later EU version ?
Have you tried 1.07 or more recent?

Actually I cannot remember trying the np environment trick on unpatched US 2.26 or EU 1.13.... I may have tested it already (and if I have, it means it failed!) but among dozens of tests I honestly don't recall anymore...
Has someone esle tried?

I will try later today unpatched US 2.11, 2.16, 2.17 2.25 and EU 1.12 to see what results do I get...

Results:

All the unpatched netflix US 2.11, 2.16, 2.17 2.25, gave me the classic server issue.
Unpatched netflix EU1.12 and 1.13 couldnt get pass the sign in psn network (it seems the trick only works with 1.04, but again, those gave me freeze)
 
Does someone have a backup of the Cruchyroll no-PSN app? The link is dead.
Were can I found the explanation about the activation .rap? I don't understand what it means.

I have this one. DOWNLOAD: can you let me know if you get it working, thanks. If it works I will add it to the new XMBPD. I cant help with the rap bit, don't know about it.
