PS3 NoPSN Apps

FYI most applications will use only a few /dev_usbxxx ports. Typically /dev_usb000 is always scanned, so if you use the port closest to the BD drive when dumping or patching from USB, it will always work.

Yea what sucks about that is my right USB port is toast on my slim. Really wish we could use other ports.

If you have problems with the context menu or experiencing an error with the output pkg, you should report this to @aldostools.

Have you installed it as Administrator? If not, that could be the reason for having no context menu... What version of Windows is it?

I just patched Crunchyroll a few minutes ago using PS3 Tools.. I had no problem whatsoever when installing the pkg.

I happen to use Trueancestor every now and then but juggling with the apps for different tasks (pkg, edat, self) isn't very practical.

As to any klicensee issue you may experience with the PSN app, all you have to do is keep a note of the klicense displayed by the PS3 Tools window during the decryption process then reuse it for encryption...

The right click options have to be "installed" there are bat files inside PS3tools you must click to activate the right click option.

I suppose in this case we could try the same kind of patch as usb to hdd redirection in webMAN-MOD to redirect /dev_usb000 to /dev_usbxxx...

That's a good idea, someone could make a little package, that redirects dev_usb000 to dev_usb001-006. Or it could be added to the list of WebMAN commands, if its not there already.

No it does not have to be done manually AFAIK. I reinstalled Windows recently & after installing PS3 Tools & running PKG_ContentId (both as Admin), my context menu was modified automatically without having to launch a batch file manually.

Anyway if it doesn't show, check what Aldo said about this in post #3.

Am not sure if the current redirect command allows to specify from what port to what port yet....
I will check now...

Same here, didn't have to add it. But I think I might have had to open a pkg once by double clicking it, then the options were there, or maybe it was a reboot or something like that, was almost automatically there anyway.

Yaay! I successfully patched Crunchyroll 1.25! Thanks a lot bguerville, pinky. I end up only using TrueAncestor tools.

If any other anime fag is interested here you go: https://my.mixtape.moe/njdrvu.pkg -- [Crunchyroll 1.25 - NoPSN] (still need rap file)
The 1.25 version seems to be way more optimized. 1.20 pkg is 50 MB and 1.25 is only 20 MB!

I'm ready to update the others apps if needed. @bguerville How do you get the "official" PSN pkg links as you give few post earlier? I planned to do the RedBullTV app soon, do you remember which file is to modify?

I can tell you a good way to get the official package links for any country:

https://nsx.sec.np.dl.playstation.n...Yr/c/NSXWSV/NSXWSV-PN.P3.GB-XMB_COLUMN_TV.xml

Just replace those 2 letters "GB" with the country code letters for where the app you want is from, DE, IE, US etc etc.

Then you will see the pkg links for the apps in the xml.

BTW: thanks for patching that, I will add any that you patch to XMBPD and credit you ;)

Here is RedBull TV 1.02.
http://b0.ww.np.dl.playstation.net/...P31361_00-REDBULLTVAPP2015-A0102-V0100-PE.pkg

I dunno if there is a more recent version. If there is you will need to spoof the version in param.sfo as usual.

It's the same kinda patch as Crunchyroll.
You need to decrypt & edit /USRDIR/com/dadc/tls/config/NetworkConf.js.sdat
There are 2 occurrences you must change

Line 30
Change
NetworkConf.PSN_LOGIN_REQUIRE = true;

To
NetworkConf.PSN_LOGIN_REQUIRE = false;

Line 38
Change
NetworkConf.PSN_LOGIN_REQUIRE = true;

To
NetworkConf.PSN_LOGIN_REQUIRE = false;

Then you need to decrypt & edit /USRDIR/com/dadc/tls/network/HttpManager.js.sdat
There is 1 occurrence you must change

Line 82
Change
this.IgnorePSN = false;

To
this.IgnorePSN = true;

Repackage & install.

That's great, but what about the others apps? Where do I place the app name? Does it use the game id? It doesn't seems as simple as that!

@bguerville Thanks! Last RedbullTV is 1.05, I think. Does it means that I can't patch the last version?

Sorry im not sure what you mean, What other apps? does what use the game ID ?

EDIT:

What i mean is, If you use this link as a template = https://nsx.sec.np.dl.playstation.n...Yr/c/NSXWSV/NSXWSV-PN.P3.XX-XMB_COLUMN_TV.xml

But replace XX with any of the country codes from below then you will be able to see the pkg links for all the different countries TV category:
<cntry agelmt="0">ae</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">ar</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">at</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">au</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">be</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">bg</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">bh</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">bo</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">br</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">ca</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">ch</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">cl</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">cn</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">co</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">cr</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">cy</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">cz</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">de</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">dk</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">ec</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">es</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">fi</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">fr</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">gb</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">gr</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">gt</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">hk</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">hn</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">hr</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">hu</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">id</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">ie</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">il</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">in</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">is</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">it</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">jp</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">kr</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">kw</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">lb</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">lu</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">mt</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">mx</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">my</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">ni</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">nl</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">no</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">nz</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">om</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">pa</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">pe</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">ph</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">pl</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">pt</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">py</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">qa</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">ro</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">rs</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">ru</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">sa</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">se</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">sg</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">si</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">sk</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">sv</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">th</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">tr</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">tw</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">ua</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">um</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">us</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">uy</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">ve</cntry><cntry agelmt="0">za</cntry>

Make sure to use uppercase letters though for the country code in the link.

With the link you gave me, if I input "FR" I can only have Netflix app or OCS. If I input "GB" only Netflix and Amazon, same for "US". What about the rest (redbull, crunchyroll, etc.)?

Not sure then. Maybe Im wrong. thought they could all be got that way. Maybe you would find them on some of the other countries. Or maybe some are only available via the store, in that case you would need to sniff the links maybe as it downloads, using a proxy through your PC.

No it doesn't mean you can't patch the last version. That largely depends on the app. A few apps have been modified along the way in such a way that they have become complicated to patch.
Netflix EU for instance is now unpatchable by simple editing. Editing files is no longer sufficient to get rid of the PSN requirement.

I don't know about Redbull TV, I stopped with 1.02 so as much as I could do it for you I suggest you will try patching 1.05 yourself....
If you run into trouble, just report here...

I have a list of download links for most psn apps but I have never updated it so most apps are older versions... I could compile & post it if it helps....

Yeah, Redbull and Crunchyroll are only available from PSN and not from XMB. Unfortunately since I banned from PSN, proxy sneefing isn't a solution. I'm sure that Sony is using a "pattern" when creating download links for PSN. So I was thinking of something using game id but I don't think it's as easy as it seems to be.

I thought crunchyroll was a game. goes to show how little I use my system anymore. lol I play the 360 and wii-u a lot more.

No, they have big long names like vhjlsgalDFGFsdFGfsgfFSGgreaduItUKSDFGjaSDujyKJTUKGASJD.pkg. and aswell they are on different servers like "ares" and "zeus". I have seen a few that have the content ID in the name, but very rarely.

I personally don't see a pattern to the PSN links, much of a link can be deduced but some of it looks pretty random to me or possibly the result of an algorithm but not something obvious...

So @Nomeji your Cid is banned right?

So yeah, I have to find a way to get last apps versions without a PSN access :D
Maybe I could try saying "yes" to the update popup on application startup. That's a start.
