PS3 HAN [OBSOLETE] [Tutorial] The Great PS3Xploit 3.0 HAN All In One Guide

Hey pink, just a quick question. Does the TV affect the frame rates of games on the PS3 ? As a dev, your statement will be very invaluable.
That's something I don't now much about. I think @DeViL303 said the other day it could and he knows more about that kinda stuff than most.
I'm going to merge your 3 post and lets keep this on topic :-p

Yeah, A crap TV like that guy troy probably had could look crap and show a shitty framerate and picture. So yes TV quality can affect the image displayed, but it would be like that for all games most likely, although some TVs may have to do extra internal scaling etc on some resolutions which may make those look worse than others, anything is possible with a crap TV. :)

Okay. Thanks for the reply. And also for the merging.

Quick question : You tag under your name says "Developer". What do you develop ?

Why do i get the message "Please renew your license in playstation store" ?
What i'm doing are:
1. add the rap file into input/raps folder of PS3xploit-resigner-master
2. add the pkg file into input/pkgs folder
3. copy output/pkgs/journey.pkg_signed.pkg to pkglinker folder
4. copy output/rif_pkg/RIF000-INSTALLER_00-0000000000000000.pkg_signed to pkglinker folder
5. Enable HAN
6. install it through HAN toolbox

Is there any step that I miss?

you must first convert the game with its update and then convert it to pkg and resigner.

ye i know I did this two times now to be sure and still the same message (To play this game you have to insert the following disk and restart the game "-" 8001003E). I did every step like i did with my other games and it always worked. Well I guess I cant play this one then.

c00 Unlock pkg doesn't pass on backups... i guess cause file it's too small..
Anyway to make the c00 unlock pkg already be installed on restoring backups?

Maybe creating a larger pkg with dummy files, just to stay on game utility?

One question regarding this: won´t Sony see e.g. that you earn trophies for a game you don´t own? Should we stay offline when playing backups ?

I don't play online, personally.
I get angry at how better everyone else is at playing and just get annoyed that I lose everytime lol.
If your worried about these things, play backups on your secondary user/psn account

This is exactly what I did and I am having the same problem

Install the C00 unlock PKG after restoring backups. We were able to do what you did some times ago but a FW update from Sony killed that - don't remind which one exactly...

Looks like you are both using the last version of Resigner (commit e0b42c) - which is not a release. What about with 2.0.0 ?

I had success converting and playing some converted games but...

When converting on CFW2OFW helper in somegames, i got error on conversion

On Dark Souls this appeared

This game requires additional assistance <Exclusive Method>
Note for this game:
Fix "creating save data" loop: Convert game using ps3gameconvert or CFW2OFW Helper
Press any key to continue or exit with Ctrl+C if conversion isn't needed . . .

Even so.. i continued with conversion, i didn't installed yet on ps3, but i think i'm gonna have error when starting game.

and

On Saw (Yeh the name of the game is Saw)

BLES00676 is not compatible, but this could be untrue, because there was an error detected while parsing the
update entry:
Root element is missing
Press any key to exit . . .

What should i do in this cases?

There is a wiki page for this sort of thing. There are specific methods for some games...

http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/CFW2OFW_Compatibility_List

Dark Souls, use ps3gameconvert instead of CFW2OFW Helper. I will add this to my guide soon.

Saw, sounds like no update, no update, no dice

Some of those exclusive methods i have no idea what to do :(
For example in Heavy Rain : Install Game Data From Disc Before DTU. Creates "/game/BCUS98164DATA/" directory.

There's a lot of games with this "Install Game Data From Disc Before DTU." If you could update guide with these exclusive methods, i would greatly appreciate.:D

There's quite a few different methods involved with these unique titles. I don't have the time to research and test every one. I outline what covers most games though. I will add an extra section to outline that there are certain games with unique methods and link to the wiki.

As for Heavy Rain, do you have the disk...? Probably not... I won't discuss piracy any further

EDIT: Researching DTU, I think you need aother ps3 with CFW for it to work right... Not sure, @esc0rtd3w will know for sure

Updated psn_package_npdrm.exe file by aldostools after experiencing this issue I reached out to him and he managed to fix it by patching it. For make-backup-pkg: replace psn_package_npdrm.exe in the pkg maker. Credit goes to aldotools for patching the error. So you need two psn_package_npdrm.exe files and delete the old ones or keep em e.g. kept mines makepkg1.old and makepkg2.old then rename psn_package_npdrm.exe to makepkg1 and psn_package_npdrm(copy).exe to makepkg2.exe.

Thanks again to aldostools!!
