PS3 HAN [OBSOLETE] [Tutorial] The Great PS3Xploit 3.0 HAN All In One Guide

Just registered in the forum to say thanks to the OP @Fin9ersMcGee for a fantastic guide to PS3 HAN. The only thing I am missing is some notion of how to update games PSN games (not sure I can just let the games update themselves using the standard method). Maybe the new DLC section will shed some light on this. Again, thanks so much!
 
Is there anyone who would be willing to pm me a working link for the PS3 tools download, I have gone through Google and every time I end up in a loop of advertising sites or exe's that install different programs none of which are ps3tools lol

tried the ps2 method did everything as followed,start the game and got a blinking screen n controller isn't sync anymore. Can someone help? Tried it with Capcom Fighting Evolution.
 
EDIT: These capacitors listed in this post will also work in standard slim models!

Thanks for the comprehensive guide! Finally, my superslim gets some love after 5 cold years of ignoring it. ;)

I used to have a Cobra ODE installed and refused to update to 4.55 or higher, but as soon as I caught word of PS3Xploit 3.0's release, I bought some replacement capacitors, ripped out my Cobra ODE, soldered the new capacitors in, and safely updated my console to 4.82.

For anyone who stumbles upon this post looking for replacement capacitors for their superslim (so you too can remove your Cobra ODE), TDK is the manufacturer I used, and the part number is CGJ2B2X7R1E103K. The specs are on par with the original capacitors a stock superslim comes with.

If you can't find these TDK capacitors in stock, then these are the only important specs:
Capacitance: 0.01uF (this is the same as 10nF; either will work)
Voltage Rating DC: 25 VDC
Tolerance: 10%
Case Code - in: 0402 (same as mm 1005)
Case Code - mm: 1005 (same as in 0402)

Hi there, thanks for the great tutorial but I have question.
I try to install PSN Game titled Braid.

On first attempt, I'm not signing the PKG, just install it, then I make the RIF-Installer.pkg using habib's resigner and install the RIF-Installer.pkg.
When I try to run the game, it said that I need to renew the license to the playstation store.
So, I delete the game, resign the braid.pkg and re-install it.

I also re-install the rif-installer.pkg, but I keep getting "Renew license to the playstation store" message.
Any other PSN game like God of war HD works with no problem.

Can you give me the clue what is going on?

And yes, this is a wee bit complicated, but this is what you get when you want things for free. Don't expect people to spoon feed you. You need to work on it, read the tutorials and get an understanding of how it works.

At the end of the day, it just works. For Slim and Super Slim models, there was no hope. These guys made it happen. It was difficuilt, but they did it. So, if they put in so much effort, can't we do our bit ?

It's not about what i'm smoking its about you missing the obvious. Go to the actual exploit page and look at the like 40 pages of comments. like 75% or more is of people having issues. So the actual post itself disproves you right there NOT to mention here where like half of the 20 pages are of people having trouble/issues etc.

the problem is not the exploit itself , its all of the stuff afterwards dealing with pkg's. More specifically the conversion process. Do think that because you can do it, that it automatically makes you the de facto standard? Do you know how many people still don't know how to install mod menus, or convert a game's region? ...and that's on a fully modded system .... lmao. seriously man. Oh and i don't think i need to read anything. I would never choose to have a half-a$$ jailbroken system when i have 3 fully jailbroken ones....... and I've done like almost 400 others.

Not to mention i already have all those tools installed in my pc....for years...and already know how to use them. Hell i still have the stuff i was using to hack the "true blue" dongle. ... silly rabbit.

Hi, I just want to ask about han, the converted games from cfw2ofw to pkg after it's installed, will the game runs even if han is not enabled? just like c00 games?
 
Bro,I use PS2ClassicsGUI to Make PKG ,but I got a error like this "Parse error : "E:\XXX\...\PS2PKG\/PARAM.SFO" >>ERROR PARAM.SFO is required."

What can I do ?

Hey I installed one of my ps3 games and it says that i have to insert a disk. Where could be the problem in the converting process? (god of war 3 btw)

And just in case you didn't see it, go back and read what he posted. Look for any of "my drama" before that post you wont find it. If you want to really be fair and equal, the other person needs to get "banned" too. Not to mention that absolutely everything i said in response...is 100% true... that isn't drama...those are facts.

Bud I said he was banned. I wasn't picking on you or saying you were starting drama, all I was saying was that he is gone so no need to keep arguing with him.

you must first convert the game with its update and then convert it to pkg and resigner.

Dude, the process is straight up simple.

1) Copy support files to pendrive.
2) Put PD into the right USB port.
3) Go to the exploit page.
4) Install HAN.
5) Enable HAN
6) Sign the pkg of game on PC.
7) Install on PS3
8) Activate using .rif
9) Play the game.

Whats so difficult about that ? Posting your achievements ain't gonna help either. Derp. :D

Hey pink, just a quick question. Does the TV affect the frame rates of games on the PS3 ? As a dev, your statement will be very invaluable.
