Regarding Super Dragon Ball Z on the HDD: the game may have some problem. But it cannot be debugged because it always starts working properly, once it is booted with DECI2 support enabled...
It would
The Bouncer: at first, it was causing a crash because of a weakness in OPL's design, around the streaming callback, caused by a recent change. Whenever it paused streaming, the pointer would be set to NULL, but CDVDMAN would not check for that.
Then now, I do not know whether it is working or not because it was working a few days ago, but seems to have stopped working again, for seemingly no reason.
And maybe 6d4af30 changes to cdvdfs broke Ratchet & Clank 3/Up Your Arsenal again? It was ok up to d062a18
Over SMB? The game never worked consistently with SMB to begin with.
is the ps1 CPU that earlier ps2 uses as IOP being emulated on slims i pressume Deckard had to be developed because the ps1 stopped production right around 2005
Although there are similarities, it's not the same device. The original PS CPU only had one operating mode, while this one runs at 36.864MHz by default and has much more components.
It could have just been a coincidence. They decided to phase out the real IOP around that time, replacing it with a Power PC-based device that only shares the same peripherals. The device also got 4MB of SD RAM, up from the 2MB EDO RAM that IOPs traditionally had. The extra memory was used for emulation.
The new PPC IOP also allowed the boot ROM to become universal (same content worldwide), as it allowed regions of the boot ROM to be changed in memory (i.e. region-specific lettering are changed).
DECKARD is the software emulator that the PPC IOP device of the SCPH-75000 and later use, to emulate the original R3000A IOP.
DECKARD is stored at the end of the boot ROM.
Can someone help i buy NA sata ver last week, put in my 50000 ps2 with seagate 500gb hdd and i use opl 0.9.3 the game wont show at all same with ver 0.9.2 but when i use ver 0.9.0 or 0.9.1 the game show and play well.are there something i need to do so my game will show on opl 0.9.3
The compatible adaptors are generally not perfectly compatible replacements for the Sony network adaptor. Workarounds for the hardware problems of some of them, were implemented after the release of v0.9.3. You might want to get a newer release of OPL, although none of them are earmarked as being stable.
