PKG Linker 2.0 - Serve Packages to your PS3 (HAN/CFW)

PS3 PKG Linker 2.0 - Serve Packages to your PS3 (HAN/CFW) v2.0

I think you guys should mention to use node.js as a solution for error 80710092 when PKG linker and xampp doesn't work.its easy to setup and use

Well 80710092 can be a million things, it just means no connection to host, users need to use their own heads and read the trouble shooting, its says to try other servers as one of the things to try, most don't even try any of those. :)

I have a small doubt if PKG linker runs Apache and still doesn't work what's the use of xampp to try and use apache

Lots of people who had issues with v1.0 used xampp successfully, that is why it is mentioned. Also I said "try other servers" , plural, so if someone tried xampp and then gave up that is their own issue.

Another reason why only xampp is mentioned is that we have tried it and can offer support on it. I have no idea how to use node.js and could not be arsed learning about it when I have multiple working servers already. TBH whether or not users can run a server is not our issue, we should have just did what Team PS3Xploit did and left it to users to figure out the server themselves, there is a world of info out there on running servers, yet people seem to think we should re write it all here especially for them.

I got a little off track this weekend and started working on adding an icon extractor so it will have one less app to port.

We're working on getting something going for the raspberry pi. We still need to get the tools built for Linux then do some testing. We have some ideas we're pretty excited about. If I ever find my wifi adapter or break down and get a pi v3 so I can test a few things I'll post some more info.

I don't have any large pkg's to test the icon extractor with and it's getting late so I'll post a link if anyone wants to try it. If not I'll get something together tomorrow and test it.
I just need to know if it works on over 4gb and if it's fast.

I just had a 200mb pkg to test with so I'm not sure if it's about as fast as using the other tool to extract the icon. All the app I posted does is extract the icon from a pkg when you drop it into the program.

I just tested it on a slow computer with a pkg that was a little over 4gb, it works and seems to be pretty quick too.

I test ps2 pkg with size 7gigabyte and it's quick and i will test it in pkg 34 gigabyte on cor2duo pc and i will confirm

I don't think it'll be much different on larger ones, it was about the same on the 4gb & 200mb packages. I was mostly worried about it not working on files larger than 4gb. I'm reusing some old code that didn't work with 4gb+ and wasn't sure if I had fixed it.
