PKG linker too slow

Hello

When i try to install ps2 pkg files through pkg linker on my Ps3 , i always got 80023324 error, not to mention that's the download is extremely slow.

I conected the Lan cable, but i think i may be missing something.. to fix the download speed and the error, should i config IP settings both on PC and PS3 ?

Yes, you have missed something, read the first post of the pkg linker thread for IP settings, if connecting directly.

BTW, its not PKG linker that is slow, its your network setup.

I have read.
Connecting directly.. you mean through Ethernet cable?

Inside the cmd > ipconfig
It shows 2 IP's
Which one should i get?

Regardless of my doubts. I tried.
Failed.

The connection on the Ps3 should be normal through wi fi.. the only difference would be in changing the ip settings??

In wired connection i put the ip settings.. doesn't work.

I asked on the thread about my issues.. none replied.

This image is on the thread. Why the IP on Ps3 it's different from the PC?
It says something about range on the IP's. Range?
I'm sorry but it's all very unclear to me.

You will need to do some research on networks if you want to set this up. 2 devices on same network can not have the same IP address, that is why they are different.

I have no idea what you have in ipconfig, you could have 10 IPs for all I know and I would not know which one is correct, that is for you to figure out.

Yes when I say cable directly I mean Ethernet cable, what other type of cable could I possible mean?

I wasn't asking about the cable itself..
I asked about the method, via wi-fi or cable by the term "connecting directly".

When i get home i will take a print of my cmd ipconfig screen.

1st one is 192.168.0.18
2nd 192.168.0.1
More details i'll show on print.

If you could help, thanks in advance.

Oh, I was referring to the trouble shooting where I mention connecting the "cable directly" above the IP address's. If you have multiple adaptors set up I cant really help you, I would need to be there. try disabling what you are not using in network connections, just use one while installing pkgs.

Dude how can you say slow when it didn't even work for you?
I didn't said that it don't work. It does... i'm able to host server fine.

There's just two adapters.. the Wi-fi, and the ethernet adapter. I need to take the ethernet ip?
My ip config seems.. pretty standard, nothing different, so i don`t know what i'm missing here...
Also in ps3, what kind of connection settings do i need to set? Wired? Wireless?

I can't guarantee that this will work, but if you bridge the connections, you might try the wifi ip for the bridge. sometimes letting the router give the bridge an ip doesn't work and you'll get an error with it. though, I don't think a full bridge is necessary since you can just remove the wifi portion after bridging it and a LAN connection. I really don't know if this will work as I haven't looked much into pkg linker. I wrote a tutorial on doing this though in my ps3 tutorials. ;) I think there's an even easier way if you allow "outside" devices to see your pc. that option is in network settings iirc. I still use the bridging method though since I don't trust leaving my computer "open."

btw, you can even bridge connections if it errors on you. if it does, just disconnect the wifi portion. this is for windows 10 though which seems to be unstable with bridging to the ps3. windows 7 and below, which judging from the year in your cmd prompt, you're on, it's not much of an issue.

oh, and also btw, you can select more than one connection to bridge with the shift key and the right mouse button (if they're near each other); if the connections are not near each other, use ctrl and the right mouse button. you can actually use ctrl for either. lol

Try to think for once that you need to change the ip address for ethernet adapter as you'll be connecting the cable to it. Also idk if you are doing all the steps cuz it won't work without them. Also idk why you didn't know already ( cuz too many ignorant people in the world) but wifi is and always has been slow.

ApacheHTTPD may not have been the best server for this. I thought by using something that didn't have any options for the user it would save everyone some trouble. In v2 we are looking to use a different server(hfs). I think this will help with a lot of the problems we're seeing.

I think that i am not being able to conect on cable, even with the cable plugged, the download is going under Wi-Fi.
My internet is 60 mb speed, that gives me an average 3~6 mb/s download speed rate. Which is decent i guess.

I read reports from users here on forum saying that got 1 gb/s. Clearly i'm doing something wrong.

I guess i can fix fairly easy my problem... but i need answers.

The connection on the Ps3 should be normal through wi fi.. the only difference would be in changing the ip settings??

Or should i put wired connection?
Should i disable wi-fi adapter on pc? To let only ethernet adapter working? Cause the wi-fi takes over the ethernet adapter , even if both is activated.

You need to use the IP of ethernet, if not it will transfer over IP of wifi adapter and take long time.
Check what IP to use on PS3.

I think it partially solve the problem.
