ERROR 404: Changing port according to the instructions actually doesn't change port for the webserver, but it might have changed for the package, did I miss something?

I think this may be what the guys talking about installing visual studio 2012 x86 are taking about. I think you should be able to download and install the NET Framework. If someone can tell us what one it needs I'll put the link in the OP.

See first post, you need to change port in app and in apache config.

Cant really help , that is a network problem, are you connected directly. no router/switch?

ok then its either your pc lan is really slow or your ps3 has hardware issue, or your cable is crap. there is only 2 network cards and a cable, so its one of those.
 
Ok guys, seems like a Game Over for me. I follow the change IP setting to 10.1.1.0 thing, and at the start looked like it was actually going to install, i was having the Unknow error from the first post. But after some seconds, the screen went black, and i can't get it to work again. Changed HDMI, screen, pressed the on button for 5 seconds for safe mode, Nothing. Looks like i bricked it. Im gonna keep trying to bring it back to life, any help would be much apreciated!

Well this was only installing to hdd and it had not even downloaded so could not have done that, looks like your ps3 just died, is it flashing red light or ylod?

Try another hdd if you can.
 
@DeViL303 That doesn't seem right to me, is it a printout error or should I just stop trying to add a different port while drinking beer?

This might help someone. My screen was not showing any image because it looks like my monitor (yes, im using a monitor) have some incompatibility with my PS3. So, when it started to download, it went to that strange low resolution screen of the PS3, and my screen seems like it cannot handle it. Same happend when i was on the "safe mode" as it also use that low res screen.
