And two PS5 editions have been revealed PS5 Digital edition and the PS5 both are the same but the digital edition does not feature a disc drive.

For marketing reasons... I would like to see a GT7 bundle from launch date, not sure if the game is ready but if they does it are going to be sold as candies
And another bundle with sackboy for kids, because is needed to recover sackboy as the sony puppet/mascot

And for technical reasons... i want to see the new ratchet and clank, there are rumours the game is going to use some kinf of "space-time wrap holes" to fast travel in between game levels... this is going to expose very well the performance of the ultra-fast internal SSD

By the way, the PS5 digital only edition may be expandable to BD drive with USB connector. A simple enough concept. What do you think? Though difficult to predict how much Sony may charge for extra BD drive.

I think they are going to make a bundle because Gran turismo is a huge franchise.

I know it's totally subjective to my own taste, but I'm only looking forward to Horizon 2

also, I'm unhappy with Capcom turning Resident Evil into this "first-person-look" scary/horror game... I didn't like RE7 that much, because I felt it was made just to scare people trying to escape "an horror house" (specially with VR), and now I see RE8 will bring the same concept, probably extended to an "horror village".
(at least Capcom made the remake of the RE classics, so I'll keep playing RE2, RE3, etc, until they return to the roots.)

Btw. I'm not impressed by that presentation at all. Not even close to what i imagined as next gen gaming. :/

To me, all games looked like PS4 games... and some even looked exactly like PS3 games.... nothing exciting here.

Personally i think most of them look very good, like Horizon 2, Hitman 3, Resident evil 8, gran turismo 7, spiderman demon's souls: remake NBA 2K21 and godfall look stunning.

Is a franchise that could potentially sell millions of consoles if both are released together, more than any other franchise imo
For the launch of other playstation consoles there was not a GT ready, but i guess this time they are synced, mostly because there is not a serious GT for PS4 so they had lot of time to prepare it

They just need to print a huge GT7 logo in a side of the PS5, with a classic look, visually is going to look great for a segment of the consumers (males mostly)
There is only one way to improve it... black carbon fiber in the outside, and brushed alluminium inside... a classic for racing gentlemen, lol

By the way, how many of these are PS5 exclusives? I am sure RE 8 will be cross platform.

Regarding Games and Genres. Its obvious to anyone who has seen gaming since its early days that Gaming industry is running out of ideas. Those who dislike RE 8 concept are right but RE 2/3 remakes are worse. No originality of concept. And actually you would see many such old titles in coming generation that would be repackaging of Old gen games. Anyone who has been in gaming long enough may feel that its an insult. And on top of that, add all the commercialization and monetization of game content & DLCs to milk consumers.

By the way, young generation who haven't played those old RE 2/3 etc original versions will be excited about these games because they see these games as a fresh because they never played the original ones.

Rockstar games was pretty awesome in PS2 era. How many games does Rockstar studios make these days?

Of course, they have to run games in 4k 60fps... The usual useless numbers. I refer to the resolution, for 60fps it would actually be time to put it as a standard base, but as resolution full-hd is more than enough (it also perfectly scales on 4k TV) so it'd remain more power available for the graphic (texture quality, shaders, lighting, reflects, surface effects, tessellation) and playful aspects (interaction, complexity of physics and animations, screen density) that count.

The blanket is short, if you want 4k at all costs the generational leap cannot be huge (I repeat, especially in the playful aspects, unless you keep a basic graphics similar to that of this generation).

I hope it gets released with the PS5 but i dont think it will happen, but they have spiderman for launch its pretty big as well.

quite a list, but the only ones I'm interested in are ratchet and clank and resident evil 8 (liked 4 the most). village sounds like part 4. I remember that chainsaw wielding maniac in the game. popped out of no where. it was fun just trying to avoid him.

aside from that, I prefer the colorful cartoonish graphics of nintendo games mostly. that reminds me of when I was a kid.

RE8:Village looks more like RE4, and Resident Evil games look better in third person even tho RE7 was very good.

I haven't beaten any of them, and I don't think I've played 7. I do have resident evil 0 hd and another resident evil game on my ps4. I got them from a humble bundle charity.

By the way, how many of these are PS5 exclusives?
Half of them are coming to PC, except for first party games... We'll see how long they can keep this up hehe.
Couple of them are timed exclusives

False, you may dislike ideas depicted in entertainment, but there is no denying the fact that entertainment (including video games) is requiring more and more thinking on the viewer's side than ever before.
Remember how we used to die of laughter when a guy slips over and falls with quirky sound effects? Will they work today? Why not? Is it because the newest generation isn't capable of comprehending humor?

You can pick and choose different examples, there is amazing work, and there is simple work made in all times in history, the former being more and more common nowadays especially that our brains crave stimulation, repeating the same thing over and over will slowly deteriorate the perception of consumers towards that thing.
That's why there are no old ps1 and to some extent ps2 equivalent of the Witcher, or RDR, or TLOU(debatable), there are more games today that compensate for the lack of gameplay with a compelling story than they were a few generations ago.

Those who dislike RE 8 concept are right but RE 2/3 remakes are worse. No originality of concept. And actually you would see many such old titles in coming generation that would be repackaging of Old gen games. Anyone who has been in gaming long enough may feel that its an insult
RE remakes aren't a resolution patch, it's a complete overhaul of the original games. You might not remember it for the right reasons but by today's standards most of the older games are completely unplayable, the thing is, Nostalgia is a Bitch, and only as good as one(we're done with the bitch analogy) it'll be fun for an hour or so but after that, you start seeing with your eyes instead of your heart and you'll start saying wtf how was I playing this? I encourage you to go back and play your ps1 and 2 games on those platforms and you'll appreciate the work done on the RE remakes.

I was shocked when I played Shadow of the Colossus on the ps2 a while ago, because I vividly remembered how good looking and how smooth the framerates were, or at least that's what remembered using nostalgia goggles, the framerates were horrible I simply couldn't continue playing cuz I felt sick of how inconsistent they were.
The only game I tried that stood well against the test of time was RE4, that game is a masterpiece.

As for the new iterations of Resident Evil, they've done great, people like you are blinded with "FIRST PERSON BAD F%$# KOJIMA FOR PLAGUING US WITH P.T"

Not seeing what they game brought back to the table, Capcom successfully reincarnated the survival horror aspect of RE in a new frame.

They made a "mistake" with RE5 and 6 by shooting the fans at their foot with their statement saying they're targeting Call of Duty fanbase, needless to say these two games went on and sold out like crazy, topping the series sales charts.

With RE7 they've got back to the roots with a camera refresh, and they're continuing on with that trend because it worked well for them and their fanbase...well at the majority of them.

The same thing goes with GoW, Metal Gear, Zelda, and ironically RE4.

"He who tries pleasing everyone ends up pleasing no one"

And on top of that, add all the commercialization and monetization of game content & DLCs to milk consumers
No disagreeing there, most games use DLCs to milk more money, but there are games that provide more bang your buck DLCs, games the Witcher or Monster Hunter, you get more of those games for a fraction of the price. But still it's a problem for most games.

Quantity doesn't equal Quality, Rockstar used to make 4-3 ish games a generation, now they're taking it slow, way too slow actually, pumping only one game a generation, albeit much larger in scope, especially from a technological standpoint, just look at RDR2, they're basically flexing with what they can be capable of doing.

The new enemies in RE8 look much worser it looks more like a vampire game than a zombie game.

Not the point but I get you, we'll see how it pans out when the game gets revealed more and more, that YouTube stream's quality was shite

Then new generation came 1-2 years earlier than it should. High end PCs can do real 4k, by real i mean good graphic, not plastic trees in 4k. In 3-4 years this gonna be available for mid range PC. Where then gonna be PS5, and XSX? Still in good graphic 1080p era, or in plastic 4k? For me this don't look good as future proof solution.

I hope it gets released with the PS5 but i dont think it will happen,
Same here, i don't think that GT7 will be start title. Sad because GT2 was why i bought psx at first. GT 3,4 were games that i finished 100%, GT 5,6 started slow series fall down. Sport was bad, available modes, plastic driving model that felt weirder than GT2, and tires sound that is unchanged since GT1. I hope that GT7 will be new live for this series, but i lost hope. Anyway making it launch title for sure is reasonable choice if possible.

The most scary thing in RE7 was... fact that player CANNOT run. It is so damn slow that infuriating me since day one. Imagine that some crazy b* chasing You with axe and Your maximum speed is like walking with dog in the park. Ridiculous! I got platinum but to be honest, if they do the same mechanics in RE8 I'll even won't play the demo...

Remakes of RE2 and RE3 are just different games than on PSX. Many things was just cut or changed/simplified. They are good games but only good.
