Found them, this is the thread when
@deank published it, i suggest you to read it entirelly, is the kind of thread that is better to read it a couple or more times:
https://www.psx-place.com/threads/cobra-changes-to-add-full-burned-optical-media-support.12494/
And later the news when the patch was added to cobra:

In your CECHE you have the GS of the PS2 (graphic synthesizer a.k.a. the GPU), but not the EE (emotion engine, a.k.a the CPU)
By inserting discs in the drive, either original or burned copies they are going to be booted using the
ps2_gxemu.self
The compatibility of this emulator is a bit smaller than the previous PS3 models, but most of the games should work fine
And btw, now we are talking about compatibility you should take a look at this list, for the tests you should start trying with a game from the list that was reported as "playable" and that doesnt needs a CONFIG
https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/PS2_Classics_Emulator_Compatibility_List
This way you know your game "should" boot and work normally
You know... if you are doing the tests with a game that is reported as "unplayable" in the list you can burn 400 discs with it and try different things but you are not going to achieve anything... so do the things easy for first tests

Actually, if i remember right, you can burn PS2 games in CD (cheaper for the tests)
And btw... the emulator
ps2_gxemu.self have the CONFIG files embedded inside the .self and it cant load them externally
So you are limited to the official configs inside
ps2_gxemu.self
Are a lot... but what i mean with this is you cant use the custom CONFIGS with physical discs (either original or burned copies)
-------------------
If for some reason you want to boot a PS2 game with a custom config, you need to convert it to iso, this way is booted with
ps2_netemu.self
This is the only PS2 emulator that loads the CONFIG files externally
