PS3 [PS3 Plugin] PS3Lock v0.6 - Now Blocks System (firmware) Update

Following the BETA build of PS3Lock v0.6 developer MixeryMaxe has now made the update official with some new changes and exciting features to add to your favorite CFW's. In this release the homebrew developer has Blocked the System Update (thanks to ermak86 and his XMBlock release), New plugin update and more as [break]sss[/break] seen in the changelog the developer has provided. Can this work along side Rebug VSHmenu trouble free or should I stick to XMB Lock.

 

I had don't test it but I don't think that there are trouble because PS3Lock menu open with + :o: and rebug vsh menu you can open with (?)

EDIT:
Maybe in the next release I add the button combo to the config so that can be changed in the settings.

 

I'll test this evening and report back!! TY for the added feature as it was all that was missing from the beta!!

 

this works with rebug vsh menu have been testing it for a while and havent had any problems

 

I installed fine using mmcm but it added (1) to webman games

Im mean as in the webman folder has (1) at the end and i click it it list ps2/ps3/psp etc...
Re installing fw did not solve this either
I dont think its causing issue but its annoying me.
Within webman setup it say refresh games.xml (1)

I don't think that PS3Lock caused this issue. I even don't think it's an issue.

Yeah that was the problem,
Thank you i have no idea how it changed i havent been in the aetup for a while Nd this morning it didnt have the (1) then after installing the ps3lock it appeared

Help my PS3 is stuck!! I added the sprx to my boot plugins and the PS3Lock folder where it was specified and now the PS3 just says PS3 Lock v0.6 and doesn't progress. My XMB is frozen and I don't have FTP access am I stuck formatting? Can anyone help? It will make "noises" (I am guess the 10 char input for the code) but I can't do anything else. Please I don't want to format 1tb of data as my backup HDD got used elsewhere and I was hoping to get a new one before something dreaded happened.

Removed PS3Lock and I am sticking with XMB Lock as it works well without any issues. I thoroughly read what to do and watched the video to no avail. Guessing it didn't like [MENTION=17]Orion[/MENTION]'s Rebug VSH menu is all I can figure as everything worked fine till I installed that plugin. Not sure what it was but time to get my zips back in order as I have to manually install all my XMB mods again. [MENTION=3657]pinky[/MENTION] think you can help a brother out alphabetizing my 4.75 XMB as I am sure you have the files still. But without your coldboot edits please?

is there a specific file(s) ur needing? btw, if u have a spare hdd, I'd suggest putting most of ur content on that. then, use gamedata tool or ext game loader for games/dlc respectively. if ur hdd does crash or fails, u can get all of the content back with robocopy. it'll copy the directory listings and the param.sfo to another folder. transfer the content of that folder to ur internal hdd. that's the way I have mine set up. I have maybe 5,000 things installed, but robocopy will trim that down to about 60MB as all u need is the param.sfo for installation.

I have sent you a 7z file of most of everything ready to add into a zip for multiMAN just need the logo from a 4.65 system_plugin.rco added to an already modified system_plugin.rco I have sent for 4.75 but everything else is there. Seems I had some of the files backed up just not that one system_plugin.rco with the logo added but hey most of the work is done and there. If push comes to shove I can learn to live without Extreme's Rebug logo on the XMB as everything else is back and in place and working good.

PS3Lock start delay:
For CFWs without epilepsy warning i recommend 1-3 sec, for CFWs with epilepsy warning i recommend 6-9 sec.
If the menu seems to "frozen" after password entry then try to open the settings menu, if you see
the settings menu then try to increase delay time and push + + for restart.

The only thing I see is plugin loaded and that screen sticks. My XMB waves do move and it just says PS3Lock v0.6, at this time I can hit ten presses then try R3 to save but nothing happens. The is not background png to see what is going on.

 

Did you delete the old config file from v0.5 before install v0.6 and reboot?

V0.5 wasn't installed that I know of but I'm gonna tinker with it tonight. I had a corrupted database so I cleaned that up so maybe that was the issue.

I used ur file from 4.75 rather than the one I have on my laptop. also, I do remember [MENTION=31]eXtreme[/MENTION] having to reposition the x, y for the scorpion logo. I didn't alter the x, y at all. I just placed the scorpion logo in the file. well, if it doesn't look right, I can use the parameters from the original file. it's very difficult to alter then test since my ps3 is unplugged in favor of the ps4. should have the cable I need next week at some point. u don't have a pc to make the change urself, but ur ps3 is plugged in, and have a laptop to make the change, but my ps3 isn't plugged in in order to test it. it's kinda funny I suppose with the testing phase of that logo.
