i kinda digg the 4k mod now i wasnt and said that hes fooling us but now that i got that joke itz pretty cool and fellz like a ps4 and shit hehe is nice makez u feel cool and thatz okay :-p

New problem found today:
Everytime I turning on my system with ps button (controller) my controller led blinking forever, and need to be reconnect by USB-cable.
If i turn on console by Switch button then press the PS-button, controller connect normally.
I'm sure this come by Pro Mod because i have tried to re-install firmware (4.82.2 Rebug-RE) and it's assign perfectly, after that test to making sure psPad assign normal and without USB-cable. I tried to install ProMOD (option 1: PS3 Pro) then the psPad need to be Re-Assigned by USB-cable everytime turning on with PS Button.
May the owner figure it out and fix, thank you.
It's too inconvenient to goes near Ps system to turn it on then turn in Pad.

Hello, I have a question .. will update this mod for Rebug 4.82 Rex firmware? Or you can put it on this firmware.
P.S. forgive me for my "poor" English ..

Both, it unlocks the 8th spe :-p
Not sure if that's a joke or if it does unlock the 8th SPE of the CELL CPU... I'm not sure how one set it to "on" anyway or is it on all the time once you have the PS3 4K Pro Mod on your PS3?

P.S. I've made the error of using SEN Enabler's OFW Mode sometimes & it sadly removings the menu items that the 4K Pro Mod adds & going back to Full CFW Mode does not add it back.

I've added the Mod back a lot... sadly I'm on a 60gb Fat... its godly slow on them. I'm sure it more or less just one or two files, maybe something can be added to fix this faster if the error is made.

P.S.s. Not sure if anyone has said this or not but webMAN is the only part not in English for the English setup.

No it's real.
CELL architecture relies on 2 different processing units called PPU & SPU. PPU is the general purpose CPU. There are 8 SPEs in a SPU. Each SPE is a like a processor that can work independently or in parallel with the other SPEs but the system only uses 7 of them for efficiency purposes, the 8th is reserved by default so it is not on.
Devs use a hack to put that lazy, sleepy processor to good use! ;)

Hi
in reviews and in answer to Ariel el bulla, you mentioned that boost mode will boosts the cpu/gpu clock speed.
is it for real? how much? and i am more curious about how?(cause i read somewhere that it is not possible on PS3) psdev wiki though.
BTW thnx for great work.:love heart::love heart::love heart:

Hi,
I am a new user on this site
Currently i have a CFW - Cobra Ferrox 4.5 running on my PS3 with SEN Enabler spoofed on 4.82 OFW for 4.83
Multiman and Retroarch installed and running smooth.
The question 1 have is, once i install this package:

- Do i have to reinstall the CFW
- Do i have to reinstall the MM Manager
-Any other changes that needs to be made to the system
I do login casually on the PSN (until its supported) so would that be functional

My system is now DEX so that covered
I tried reading as much as i could but was not very clear on the setup changes after installation

Thanks in advance

mm and retroarch should work as they should, and there shouldn't be a need to reinstall the firmware unless you want to remove the mods. most of what's been changed is cosmetic, so it shouldn't affect any of the system's functions.

Hi,
Is your issue resolved?
Are you sure the issue is due to the PS3pro pkg or some other pgk file (PSPad maybe) is conflicting with your setup?
I plan to install this pkg file and just want to confirm as my machine is also in a tight spot to reach every time and switch ON

Thanks in advance

Hey luanteles this is off topic but I can't find the pm option lol, but i have been working on psp animations porting to ps3 and have some questions about your plugins and if I could possibly look at the original xml for them. Anyways I've already gotten a lot of different types ported and working but have issues with some animations and was hoping we could help eachother lol

Click in his nick and ---> "Start a Conversation" :)

You can open a thread in this subforum (for XMB modding), there is some other people in the forum that knows a bit how it works
It seems you are mostly focused in animations, there are some pages in wiki related with other rco stuff, but im going to mention a couple related

This is the xml code generated by rcomage, is a list with all the available "construction blocks" for animations
http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/RCOXML_Animations

And this is intended as a training to understand how the official animations works, the goal of the page is limited to only official animations, i wrote it trying to explain it in detail and we can talk about them as much we want, but thats all... "official only"
http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/RCOXML_ofw_animations

For custom animations my plan was to make more wiki pages with this style:
http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/XMBML_Coding_Examples (just an example)
http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/RCOXML_Examples (here can be added more wiki pages)

Im posting all this incase it helps you, or you want to collaborate, or there is someone reading us interested in this
If someone starts talking about this i will join the conversations and i will help in some way, giving you some hint or updating wiki

Oh ok thx, but ya I've been scouring that ps3 dev wiki site lol. Has helped understand the formatting and layouts but would be nice to talk to ppl that have done this before, I've got a thread on console crunch with some my plugins I've done but need to update it and might just make one on here too. Also yes would like to collaborate on some awell, maybe make a rebug pro pkg or something lol
